How to reset expired hp 02 cartridge

I'm not sure what you mean by "reset" and whether you are speaking of ink jet or laser cartridges. From my experience all HP laser cartridges have a small chip (with a little circuitry) that counts down your pages and when it decides your cartridge is out of toner you cannot "reset" that chip, you can only replace it, so like when you refill the cartridge. Some of the HP laser printers let you override these toner level chips (my HP 1518ni does) but in many laser printers you are stuck when the chip counts down to '0' pages. Some printers will run if you remove the chip from the cartridge but from my experience most will not.
Ink jet cartridges are somewhat similar but I gave up on ink jet printers several years ago. I know for some brands (Epson?) you can buy a small tool that somehow resets the cartridge chip (so if you refill cartridges yourself); possibly there is something similar for HP ink jet cartridges.

How to Fix or Repair or Clean or Unclog Your Inkjet Printer Cartridge or...

If you have a cartridge for an inkjet printer that still has ink in it and it's not printing properly, you may have clogged ink jet ports. This often happens when you don't use a cartridge for a long time.

Most printers have some type of clean cartridge menu option and you should try this first. If this is not successful, there is another way to get the ink flowing.

Remove the cartridge from the printer and determine where the ink comes out of the cartridge. There is usually a small rectangular metal plate about 3/8 of an inch by 1/8 of an inch on most printer cartridges. After locating this area, take a lint free cloth (or paper towel if such a cloth is not available) and moisten it with some hot water.

Dab the cloth or paper towel against the ink jet port area until ink begins to come out. If you don't want to get dirty, you may want to wear gloves and do this in an area that you don't mind getting ink on. Once the ink is flowing, dry the cartridge with a paper towel by dabbing it. Dab and don't brush so that you don't leave any lint or paper remnants on the cartridge.

Be sure that the cartridge is dry and clean before you put it back into the printer. Make sure all sides of the cartridge are dry as there are electrical circuits on the cartridge and you do NOT want to have these areas wet.

If this doesn't work the first time, you can try it again until all the ink jet ports on the cartridge are open. I've been able to save many old cartridges this way. Hopefully this will work for you although there will always be unsalvageable cartridges out there. Have fun and good luck!

How do I load ink and toner in hp laserjet 1100

By load the toner, if you mean inserting the toner cartridge. Then i will give you instructions. In laser toner printer, there is toner cartridge, and not ink jet cartridge. In laser toner cartridges, there is a black color toner power and it does have any liquid ink, which ink jet cartridges have.To remove the laser toner cartridge from hp laser jet 1100 printer, its simple. The front door open and old toner cartridge comes out.Just pull the front door towards you. While inserting cartridge. If you have problem, then take note that, sticker side of the cartridge is towards you.On the cartridge there is a rectangle flap, which you hold in your hand. This is meant for holding the cartridge, while removing and inserting cartridge. The stick side will be in your side. There is a green color drum, the drum side will be on opposite site.-------------- Still any problem.Keep updated. But i think that will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Yellow ink doesn't print from the cartridge.

Try to change ink jet cartridge with a new one from hp and then blow off the contacts with compressed air. Make sure the tape is removed from the nozzles of the ink jet cartridge before installation.

Good luck on this repair.

Bypass expired message cartridge. Cartridge is less than six months old & nearly full.

Hi,

Every cartridge will have its own ID and Expiry date, please check the Cartridge expiry date, if its really expired then printer will reject it even-though the cartridge is full.

We cannot bypass cartridge errors for single cartridge in INK-JET printer, because they work in TIJ technology (Thermal Ink Jet) which needs all cartridges to be functional unlike Laser-jet printers.

hello sir, hi, the ink comes out from the ink cartridge to the ink cradle where the ink pass to the paper, this is clogged, need you to clean the ink cradle, you can use warm water to soften the dried ink.

Black ink will not print text

maybe the ink jet cartridge is depleted. This is common on all ink jet printers.
Or, the ink jet cartridge has tape on the head.

It says used ink jet full. I don't know what that means. All of my color ink jets are full and I can't even make them come forward to check them but I'm sure they are full. What is the used ink jet.

Used ink jet is probably something like the 'waste toner' cartridge in laser printers. Look in the manual for a reservoir that has waste ink somewhere. Hopefully it'snot in the ink jet cartridge.

What year, make, model printer is this for further research?

Black ink not working

Before wasting a lot of time, the best way to trouble shoot ink problems is to try installing a new cartridge and see if it works. If it does, focus on the cleaning/diagnosing of the old cartridge and not the printer.

Generally, most newer printers when unable to print a particular color can be fixed by simply (1) switching out the ink cartridge with another cartridge, (2) cleaning the base of the cartridge and the corresponding copper contacts on the casing with rubbing alcohol or a damp paper towel and patting them dry, or (3) cleaning ink from the well below the cartridges (where the head parks when the printer is not in use.

That said, it does depend on the type of printer you're using. Some printers, like Cannon inkjet and bubblejet printers use an ink nozzle in the casing which was supposed to keep ink costs lower, but it had a tendency to cause clogs of ink in the printer. This is one reason most ink jet printers, like HP, have opted with installing all the necessary components in the cartridge itself.

If you have the other type of printer, where the ink cartridge has what looks like a hole on the bottom of the ink instead of a copper surface, focus on cleaning the bottom of the casing where the black ink is installed. You can do this with a cotton swab and some alcohol. Dip the swab in the alcohol and carefully move it in a circular pattern in the bottom center of the casing. This should hopefully clear the dried ink away.

Hopw this helps and remember to vote. :D
