Question about Cameras
I was taking fotos and all of a sudden the screen went black.and now if I take fotos.it only takes black fotos.but if I go back to display fotos.it shows the fotos I took before it went black and then all the black fotos since the problem...What can I do?
Sounds like a bad sensor...... unfortunately this is a major issue... you are going to most likely have to send it to nikon to fix and it is usually most the cost of a new camera

Give the lense side of the camara a few moderate slaps while moving camara from bright to dark obgects back and forth. the shutter gets stuck and doesn't respond to changing light. that's why outdoor pictures are usually too bright and indoor pictures are black.

I had the same problem with mine. I searched the web and came across this one. My camera had a black screen but everything else worked. I read some of the comments and a few people said to hit it. I hit the camera in the side of my hand a few times and it started to work. Thanks for the info. It sound carzy but it works.
Now working Nikon coolpix

All you have to do is lay your camera with the LCD side down, make sure its on a soft surface like a carpet or a pillow. Once you have it laying down, put a peice or two of newspaper, or any paper, on top of the camera. and then hit it a few times with something. like a brush or anything hard like that. it worked for me. :) good luck.

It sounds like the lens focus is stuck. If you don't have experience in camera repairs, you should give it for a repair to your local Nikon service center or other camera service center.

Are you holding down the shutter button half-way and letting the camera lock in the focus before pressing the rest of the way?
