You need to swap the ignition live and permanent live around. If you have a vauxhall the car stereo wiring is the opposite way round to everyone else! Some Rovers have it aswell.

How can i save my settings on jvc kd-r446 ? every time i shut down my settings is reset

if it is resetting oon shut down , you dont have your memory wire connected to a full time power wire . full time power wire is a wire that has power even when car is off.. this is what saves your memory on the head unit.memory wire is usually yellow.

I installed my JVC KD-SX650 and it works but it will not keep the radio station settings and the clock setting once I turn my truck off and back on again, what could be the problem?

you need to make sure the yellow wire is going to a constant power source.. the yellow wire controls the clock and preset setting memory.

I recently bought a JVC KD-R311 car stereo, its a great stereo but my settings dont save, for instance i set the perfect sound adjusting bass/treb/mid/loudness and whenever i turn my car back on after...

You need to have the yellow wire from the stereo connected to constant battery/12 volts. That wire supplies power for the memory, if it is connected to ignition power, when you turn off the car, the power for the memory is off also.

Wont keep memory

Most stereo manufacturers agreed on a color-coding scheme for their wiring to keep things consistent. In that scheme, red wires are run to power (ie, the battery) and serve as the ignition-switched power leads (so when the engine is shut off, the head unit also shuts off), black wires are grounds, and purple, gray, green, and white are used for the main four speakers. Blue is an antenna and/or amplifier turn-on wire. Orange is a dimmer wire (for cars with dimmers on the dash lights, this can be tapped in to also dim the head unit's lighting). Yellow wires are typically the memory wires. These feed power to the head unit constantly, regardless of whether the car is on or not, so that memory presets and tone settings are maintained. Your JVC unit should have a yellow wire coming off the back as part of the harness - this would be the one to supply power. You can run this directly to the battery - that way if you blow the fuse in the fuse box that you're considering using, you won't lose your stereo settings as well as whatever feature the fuse was utilized to protect.
