The icemaker could be frozen where the water supply comes into the icemaker this sometimes happens if the water was recently shut off or you had low water pressure. Unplug the fridge and try using a hairdryer to defrost where the waterline comes into the freezer. I would assume you already checked to see the icemaker was turned on and the bail was in the down position. If you did All things i mentioned plug in the fridge and test if it still won't make ice afterwards you will need to replace the icemaker. The replacement should come with instructions.
Does water dispense through the dispenser ok in the door dispenser??
If yes wate r dispenses through the door ok the problem is going to be with the icemaker itself and its not sending power to the water valve when its supposed to fill so it could make the ice
If water doesnt dispense through the door check that water pressure into valve is sufficent..even if water does dispense what seems to be ok check first that thier is good water pressure into the valve before replacing icemaker
ok when u check solenoid there were two of them one is icemaker one is water. ok. now after water leaves solenoid it runs up the back of ref. make sure u dont have a bubble in that line if it does there is a vaccum and wont allow water to make it up to icemaker., if it has undo water line as it goes into back of ref. and make sure water is coming up to there. try that ok..
when pressing in on the water dispenser you should hear a clicking sound from a micro switch being activated. if you hear the micro switch clicking ok then you'll have to disconnect the water at various points and retry to see which locations the where water is coming out and where it is not. Trial and error approach to narrow down the problem location. usually either a bad water valve or a freeze up in the water line somewhere. assuming water is working to icemaker.
Check the fill tube to your icemaker and see if it has ice in it or in the fill cup to the icemaker. Most of the time when this problem happens it is the icemaker spraying the water. It could also be a bad module on the icemaker which can get stuck in the fill position and spray water all over the freezer.
I assume the water valve you replaced is the fill valve located within the refigerator.
If so, I suggest that you check the saddle needle valve on your water supply pipe - (generally in the basement). It may have finally clogged up totally from calcium deposits.
Replacing it may resolve the problem. Even if it does not, you've spent less than 10 dollars on it and you've eliminated one of the possible causes.
are the "fingers" of the icemaker pointed toward you and slightly up? if not the icemaker is internally broken . is the red light to the right blinking twice and then a one second pause? if not the emmitter is broken. is the black hose coming from the ceiling blocked with ice ? if so the water vave is broken allowing water to seep in hose and freeze. hope this helps.
