Hotpoint wd860 filter

Wher is the filter located and how can i get to clean it?

I have already had the engineer out twice (machine still under warranty) as the filter gets blocked and is not easy to access. He advised that I call every 3 months rather than wait for it to get blocked again. With 3 cats creating "fluff" it's not easy to stop it getting blocked. On my old Zanussi the fluff filter was at the front of the machine and could be checked/cleared after each wash.

Access to the filter is by removing the rear lower panel of washer.
Locate the large black hose on right and remove clip and hose. watch out for water in the hose.
Remove filter and clean Refit filter and hose, securely fasten the hose and test for leaks.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Have hotpoint wd860 washer/dryer. Message fy05 appears, any ideas - won't spin

This code relates to a drainage problem and will probably be a blocked filter. Check behind the kick plate at bottom of machine for screw off type filter, if not there it will be in the large pipe from drum to pump at the drum end.
Thankyou for using Fixya.

Filter is to be found in the sump hose which is located in the large hose at the rear of m/c.
Remove hose from bottom of tub, the filter is in there.
You will need to remove the lower back panel.

Hotpoint Ultima Washer/Dryer Supersilent....

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Rate me pl.....if helped. Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.
