Question about Frigidaire Dryers
I have a Frigidaire Gallery Dryer GLEQ2152E that is reporting the following two error codes:E56 and E9E
Can you please tell me what these error codes are indicating?
The dryer is not heating and stops after about 10 minutes.

SOURCE: error code E9E
E9E stands for low voltage and/or intermittent power. At least that's what the "training" manual said.
However, my dryer was overheating to the point of the back being too hot to touch. The service rep with Best Buy told me the error message made no sense. Computers aren't so great. My dryers only three years old. My previous "analog" dryer ran forever.

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. Therefore the dryer ID doesn't mean
anything to me. Over the years, I haven't had much trouble with my dryers. The E56 error code means high motor current. To help you find out why, I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good trouble shooting and repair information on dryers and other appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. You can probably verify the meaning of the error code there. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.

The error code E9E indicates that low voltage is being detected at the control board of the dryer.
This could be caused by the following factors:
* The electrical power supply to the dryer is bad. Check the dryer outlet for proper voltage (120 volts AC).
* Unplug the dryer and check the wiring of the dryer outlet plug. A loose wire on the terminal block could cause this problem.
* If you are able to safely access the control board in the console, check the red wire that connects to the heater relay on the board.
(NOTE: The dryer should always be unplugged when accessing internal components.)
A loose wire or burned connection in this area could result in this error code.
* A failed control board could cause this problem.

Tips for a great answer:
Hi friend, I appreciate your post!
Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire dryer, GLEQ2152ES0, is no longer heating. I understand that you heard a noise like pennies hitting the drum and then it stopped heating. Some possible reasons to why your dryer is not heating could be that your vent is restricted, an issue with your thermostat, or heating element. I would recommend having a technician come out to diagnose and repair your appliance because with the noise you heard he may need to disassemble the dryer. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
