Thank you I just want to take a moment to thank you for your advise regarding the Mircorsoft software conterfiet message. I was ready to put my old dell at the end of the driveway for trash pick up! At least now I can give it to a child who does not have a computer. I just didn't want to donate it with that message on the screen, I was trying to get all the updates done so I can donate to the school. You are AWESOME! Thank you so much!

There are indeed many people and schools who need computer for their learning. If many hearts go to that school needs, there would be many children be educated especially on this IT age.

Is it possible to set up a Spam folder where spam mail can be automatically received, At the moment I am getting over 60 emails each day - virtually all spam! Thank you

you need to teach the webmail what you regard as junk.
When you open the email message there may be a junk option at the top of the screen. When you tell the webmail the message is junk it should put it either in a spam folder or a junk folder and remember your request for mail sent from that email sender.
As I do not know the exact webmail I can't fully advise fully but most email services have a junk option. You then can go into the junk folder or spam folder in case an email message you wanted goes there by mistake and then you can un junk the message or move it back to the inbox. Be aware that the junk folder will fill up with junk and needs to be purged (delete all junk emails) every so often

Hi,
Please check the type of document you are trying to open, right click on the document choose properties and in the general tab you will see the type of document.
Open google, type " how to open (the type of file) ".

If you face any problems in opening it, please let me know the type of document it is. I'll let you know how the download the software free.

Laptop can't find Bluetooth software for dongle

gougher01,
Thanks for following up with me. It's taken a while, but after 10 mins of searching in the usual XP 'Trying to locate software' from the internet, it has found and installed the necessary drivers and the dongle indicates its ready for use. Have yet to test it. Key msg for outers is to give the net search time as nothing happens for at least 10 mins of the search, so you can be tempted to give up, as I did on first attempt. Thanks. Trevor (Bluetooth dongle has 'Bluetooth' as its TM, otherwise I' not clear as to manufacturer as no docs came with it.)

Printer error message

To eliminate a software problem, disconnect printer from pc and completely uninstall the printer driver and restart pc. Insert our printer driver cd and install the drivers, but do not connect printer until advised. When advised connect printer and ensure windows recognises it in the little pop up window in tool bar and says 'Your hardware is installed and ready to use' If the same message appears then the printer is faulty.
