Question about Acer Aspire 5600 Series 5630-6951 Laptop
I am having a nightmare trying to type an essay and the touch pad is to sensitive and jumps the cursor around, can i disable the touch pad as i have a mouse plugged in?
You can alter the touch sensitivity of the touchpad. Just go to Control Panel > Mouse > click the Device Settings tab > highlight the touchpad in the list and click Settings. At the bottom of the list on the left hand side, it will say Sensitivity. Click on that and a sub menu will drop down. Click Touch Sensitivity, and you can drag the slidebar to the right for 'Heavy Touch', meaning it will be less affected by you leaning your wrists in order to type comfortably.
I am using Vista, so your set up might be different, but there will be a similar way of doing this in XP, if you just apply similar logic to it.
Hope this helps:)
