Hi, thanks for your help. I acted as per your suggestion, unfortunately it still doesn't work. The phone is just a month old, but unfortunately purchased without warranty!

Yup, tried all options, but not a single one worked! This mobile was on special so cause of good bargain I bought two. I swapped the batteries also between them, the other one works but not the problematic one! Don't understand what to do! Thanks for your assistance.

This shouldn't normally cause a problem.
Make sure the cover is setaed correctly. It may have switch that checks the cover is back on.
Else take the battery out and put it back, ensuring correct poalrity. The battery contacts must line up with the pins on the other side..normally you can't put battery in the worng way. Let nme know the result.

My nokia 2690 browser is not worked before 2 daysmall settings are ok..........wt can i doooooooo...... pls suggest me

Hi, issues like this are related to your Sim card (network),
not your Cell Phone .Since you said the phone settings are correct.
The problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the Sim card on another phone? If not,
remove the Sim card, insert it on another phone and try sending a message from another mobile to you number,
or you can do it in vise- versa by inserting another Sim card on your mobile.

You can call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell
them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.

If the same Sim card doesn't browse using another handset,
don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it,
first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for using fixya.......

I can't open my back cover...how can i change my sim

Hi there!
Let me give you the steps on how to insert the sim card on your phone.
First, kindly switch off the power and disconnect the charger and any other device before removing the covers. Avoid touching electronic components while changing the
covers. Always store and use the device with the covers attached. The SIM card and its contacts can be easily damaged by scratches or bending, so becareful when handling, inserting, or removing the card.
For you to be able to remove the back cover is that you have the press the back part of the phone gently and slide down the back plate of your phone. And after that kindly remove the cover and the battery. Please open the SIM card holder and insert the SIM card into the holder with the bevelled
corner facing down and the contact surface area facing toward the contacts of
the device. Close the SIM card holder.
Line up the battery contacts, and insert the battery. Replace the back cover.
That's it!
Thanks!

Sir, My mobile is Nokia 6500 model. In contact settings,at first it was set as contacts>>settings>>"memory in use"-PHONE AND SIM. By mistake I have changed the option of "memory in use" to...

usually the phone memory security code for nokia mobiles will be 12345, until it is changed manually. try this code... else, u have to consult the service provider i guess.

memory card not detecting....
First you open gallery on screen. If the memory card ok the first item will be the name of your Card. If it is not found that means the card not detecting. You may do this.:

Open Gallery, then press the back ( battery cover ) of the phone and hold for one second, now see the screen, you can see the card name on first line. But when you take your hand back form the battery cover the display revert to the same as before.
The point of pressing:- near to the lense ( Just right side of the lense) . You know why ?. The memory card is located inside of that place.
This means there is a switch (Battery cover open / close) located just left side of the memory card, and there is a TIP projected in the same place at the Battery cover. When we close the back cover the switch become ON. Here is the problem.....!. The switch will not contact even you close the cover. When you press the cover hardly the switch become contact. when you remove the hand again it become open.
More clarification:-
In a new phone if you open the battery cover the memory card will not work at all. It will detect only after closing the cover.

this may help you.

Inative sim when i turn my phone its a w995

you can try the SIM card in another phone this will help to establish if its a phone fault causing a problem this may be a network delay rather than a fault. When we register a SIM card on the network they normally come on within minutes but sometimes there's a slight delay and at the moment we are experiencing some network delays. It could take up to 24 hours to register your new SIM but I'd recommend running a hard reset now and then:

  • With the phone switched on take the battery cover, battery and SIM card out of the phone
  • Replace the battery cover and battery without the SIM and switch on
  • Once the phone has fully loaded switch off the conventional way
  • Reinsert the SIM card.hope this helps

How to unlock samsung SGH-A411

If it's the phone lock (not the SIM) you can try this:
Switch off phone, remove cover, battery and SIM card.
Replace the battery and switch on phone.
When phone ask for SIM card enter the following code -
*2767*3855#
Note this will clear the phone memory so you may lose a few things.
Next switch off and replace the SIM card, battery and cover.
Hope fully this will work.
