Question about Hitachi 43FDX15B 43" Rear Projection Television
I turned on the TV last night to watch the Stanley Cup Finals and was greeted with a wavy, distorted, red ghosting. The top 6-10" in the upper left corner and the bottom 6-10" in the lower right is where it's happening. I tried going through the convergence through the menu without any luck. I could post a pic of the problem I'm having if you think it would help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If a repair is needed do you have a estimate on the cost?
Hello cwyman1, STK-s are special hybrid integrated circuits that are used in most cases for custom purpose. In this case they are specially designed for convergence. Best regards, Arpi

Sounds like your convergence amps need to be replaced (STKs). I am not sure what the rates are in your area, but typically you're looking at around $200 or so.
