1 Answer

I am facing a critical problem. I am using WinXp and couple of days back I installed My NX6000 cam in laptop (Pariso V3000 model) which was working absolutely fine. Then after that I installed Logitech Cam in my laptop without uninstall my NX 6000 software and Logitech was also working fine. Then I uninstall Logitech and try to run NX6000 it was not working. Then I uninstall NX6000 driver completely and Installed as a fresh .. but still it unable to detect the Cam,when I try to click the cam application ,it showing error : "Problem occur during hardware installation, plz chech audio video setting". I checked the setting option from cam window / interface and audio ( speaker / mike) is working properly. The main problem is System unable to detect the hardware. I also tried to clean registry and uninstall NX6000 driver and again reinstall it... but every time it gives teh same error "Problem occur during hardware installation ". i WILL be thankful if someone can suggest....any workarround,,

    Dear yooperbud

Thanks for ur answer, but unfortunately this solution not worked.

i did everything as you mentioned.

The main problem is that soem registry file was altered. Now u will ask me how i know that, when I unable to install my cam then i did a simple trick, just restore my windows setting couple of back date and my cam starts working with the old setting.

So I confirmed that somethg altered in registry setting.

But the problem is that with my old windows restore setting CAM is working but WI FY wireless not working, so again I restore my windows setting to current date and now Wi fy is working but cam again not working ... as before.

I thought let me apply a another trick for this, I installed MACAFE and there is a utility in MaCafe for cleaning of REGISTRY, i clean the registry via MaCafe and again try to install Cam, but unfortunately this not worked.

So currently now I unble to install my Cam. And frankly speaking I dont have much knowledge in Windows Registry, so I did not do any further Research on it.

The main problem in detection of Hardware, after installation my system unable to detect my CAM, its not a problem with Skype / Yahoo. even when i try to run my cam program.. it unable to detect my cam and no picture. I search in Device manager and found CAM is marked as YELLOW colour, i.e unable to detect.

I hope you now coem to know full story...

Any further suggestion regarding this will be highly appreciable.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

Normal 0 Did you install the software with the camera connected to the computer? Disconnect the camera from the USB port and reinstall the software. When the program asks you to connect the camera, do so, and it should work. Hope this is of some help. Bud

Below is info for setting up Audio & Video to chat on line after you install , either Skype or a messenger program.

Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

  1. Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
  4. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

C. Windows Live Messenger:

  1. After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X.
  2. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”.
  3. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on “ “Action.”
  4. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting” and follow the instructions.
NOTE: You audio and video shoud work. Enjoy.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps. Bud

Error Msg: Problem occure during Hardware installation

Having Nero installed can cause this problem. This is from the Microsoft Knowledge base. There are some other programs that can cause this problem. Search "Lifecam Program" I believe I have tracked the problem down to this. I have not uninstalled Nero yet, But Nero crashes when trying to launch it video utilities. So at this point I am presuming that tere is a conflict.
