Unable to remove the fan blade on the neff u1721 oven (too tight)

The element has blown AGAIN on my neff (naff?) u1721 oven. I have removed all the accessible screws but I have to remove the fan blade to access the top screw on the element and I can't undo the 10mm nut on the fan motor shaft, any ideas?

We need to get to the top bracket of the element and are unable to get the fan off to do so. We have undone and removed the nut from the fan but are unable to get the fan off. Can anyone tell us how the fan comes off, we have tried pulling but it doesn't budge

The nut is a left hand thread, so unscrew it clockwise to release it, hold fan blade as you are doing this. Tighten anti- clockwise.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Test element check for continuity across the terminals and it is getting power when switch onon. If both ok, chances are the front selector switch has blown.

Common Heating faults Neff U1721 Electric Oven

For all Free appliance repair videos visit our VIDEO TUTORIALS
1, If the Neff fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the NEFF element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.
2, If your NEFF fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your NEFF oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your NEFF oven is not working at all ie: no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

The bottom (fan oven) of my Neff U1721 made soft bang noise and failed. The fan stopped, the oven light went out and the thermostat light. I replaced the burnt out heating with a new element with a 32.5...

The power to the fan and thermostat is the fault. You will need to trace wiring from these elements to power source and I suspect that where the power cord meets the oven is where you'll find the cause.

Am trying to remove the element in my neff u1271n2gb oven but cannot get to the screw that is holding the clip that is attached to the element it is at the top mostly hidden behind the fan no-one seems to...

To undo the nut that secures the fan, unscrew it CLOCKWISE as though you were tightening it, as it is a left hand thread, and vice-versa for tightening it back up.

Fitting a new heating element Neff U1721

You need to remove the element from inside the oven cavity, but it is a bit of a fiddle. Once you have removed the screws at both ends of the element you need to remove the fan blade to access the centre fixing screw. Once all srcews are remove you have to twist the element and pull forward to remove the wires from the hole on the left, then remove the wires and refit to new element.

Changing an element on the main oven - Neff U1721 Double oven

You should not need to remove fan to access the element fixing scew(s).
You may need what is called a torx screwdriver, if the screws are conventional screws, but some times a small screwdriver will undo them if they are not too tight.
let me know if you require any more assistance.

Thanks.
