LG plasma tv picture moves frame by frame horizontally
Hi, the picture on my lg plasma 42px3cv seems to move frame by frame (disjointed) across the screen and not smoothly or free flowing, have had 2 technicians look at the tv, one put an amplifier on the tv aerial and the other sold me a new set top box - problem still exists, would be grateful for any clues, cheers Rick

Re: LG plasma tv picture moves frame by frame...
If the TV is still under warranty, I would begin there. The bad thing about a plasma TV is that they cannot be fixed. I would watch it as long as I could stand it. When you buy a new one, be sure that you a LCD HDTV or a projection. Sorry.

Hi my LG 47ln5700 tv set has thin greyish black horizontal lineson one side of the .... I hope this works good with Samsung LCD as well....
Is there any other electrical or electronic devices near the TV? If there are, move them away from the TV and see if that clears up those lines. IT could be some kind of interference. Or if there are video games hooked up,,disconnect them also.
Depending on the events leading up to what happend...
Was your plasma tv recently transported or moved from one area to another?
One thing about plasma tv's if you lay them horizontally or has been tilt at a certain angle they will have problems projecting any picture. PLASMA tv's should ALWAYS stay vertically standing. you can let it stand where it should be for atleast 24 hours ( i recommend upto 48 hours) without plugging it in.. (no electricity what so ever) then check if it works.
About the click you heard, it might have been a blown fuse. Probably resulting from plugging in the tv while it was in a "chemical inbalance". therefore my above recommendation is a bit too late. if you still have warranty then you have no problem. just the hassle.
Check the menu for ,probly under settings called convergence,, if it has it ,,that will make it right,, it realines the colors,,soposed to do it periodically,, or when you move the .tv. well ,,good luck with that
first i would try unplugging it for about 5 minutes to reset the set. after that i would need more detail as to the problem is there sparkles in the screen is it a certain portion of the set any info you can give
