Broken Switch HI, the top oven/grill rotary selector switch is faulty, I have to giggle the switch to make the contact. I am having trouble getting the cover/top panel (the part all the switches are on) off the top to get to the switches, can anyone advise how to remove this? Thanks

It's a Smeg D04SS built in (sorry thought I had put this info in title). There are 4 rotary sitches on the top panel and about 5 push buttons. I remove all these and take out 2 screws that go upwards into the panel. However, it seems there are 2 screws that go into the panel near the top from either side but I can't get to them as they're covered by the steel outer part that goes all around the top and bottom oven. To get this outer part off I think I will have to take the doors off both ovens??

You will have to remove the oven from the housing to gain access to the other screws that are holding the top console cover in place.
It should not be neccessery to remove the doors.
Once it is out of the unit you should be able to see any remaining screws that are fixing the console panel.

I have an electrolux oven eocl633w. The grill works with the top element but when you select oven, the lights go on, the fan goes but no heat from either element. We thought it might be the automatic timer...

It definitely sounds like the muli-function selector switch. It is probably best to contact the spare parts section of electrolux or the company which owns electrolux and quote the oven model number. You can't always get exactly the same switches as they sometimes discontinue the original.

You to check the element with a meter to ensure if you are getting a sapply to it, if you are, then the new element is faulty, if no supply, then probably ythe thermostat is faulty, also check for broken or bad conn ections.

My bottom oven isn't working at all but top oven/grill and hob is working fine

If nothing is working in the bottom oven (no fan, no light, no heat) then it is most likely the oven selector switch is faulty.

If you have a light and or fan and they are working, it is a failed oven element.

Creda cooker grill not working, elements replaced, still not working. any suggestions?

Could possibly be grill selector switch faulty, or, depending on the model, it is sometimes caused by a faulty main oven door switch.

AEG 3032 Oven, no light, no main fan, no heat to grill or oven however the exhaust fan does operate when the grill/oven is switched on. The thermostat clicks when moved from 0 to a higher temperature but...

If you are sure the timer is set to manual and not auto , then I would say that it sounds like the selector switch is faulty or the thermostat is faulty, some times they are combined as one unit, and sometimes they are 2 separate switches.
You need to remove top cover of oven and have a look inside the control panel and see if there is anything obvious like a burnt wire or bad connection
If it is a combined unit, then sometimes the 2 parts of the unit become disengaged or the cam inside the switch breaks.

The grill is nt working

Highly unlikely, either element gone or selector switch faulty, you need to test element with a meter.

Neff faulty Fan

I would not think that both fan and element are faulty, although it is possible.
if it has a timer make sure that it is on manual and not on auto, as this would stop the oven working.
Other possible fault is faulty main oven selector switch.
Hope this helps. Please do not for get feedback .

Stoves 720ef grill not working

The grills appear to be independant of each other. Does the oven still work and the oven light come on?

Depending on your answer it could be that the Top Oven Switch has gone faulty. The Grill Regulator and the Switch work together on the top oven. To get at both you will need to take the top of the oven off.
