Question about D-Link (DIR-130) Router

Installed a d-link dir-100

2 computers connected. First it worked fine. then it was slow one minute and then fast the other minute. Now 16 hours later it is really slow. Can't figure out what it could be. Can you help?

Try resetting the router . Press the reset button for 10 seconds and after 10 seconds unplug the power cable but continue pressing the reset button for another 30 seconds after 30 seconds plug in back the power cable and continue pressing the reset button for 10 seconds and release it after 10 seconds.

try to open an Internet browser and type in 192.168.0.1 on the address bar. It should give you the DLink page. Once you have that configure your connection.

Make sure there are no other wireless devices are kept in between Router and the computer. Just check it must work.

I'm having problems adding an additional computer of our wireless network. I have a d-link dir-615


How many computers do you have connected to that router already??? The common limit is 16. Also check your dhcp if it still has enough IP adresses to dish out to new devices trying to connect. You can set the start and end IP address in your range, with up to 100 addresses and more. And then lastly check if you have not tightened you Security to allow only spcific mac addresses to connect.

My d-link wireless router lights turn on properly but it is not sending any signal and when connected by lan the computer says limited connectivity


Try resetting your broadband connection, then the router, then your computer in that order.

These devices get out of sync on their addressing occasionally and a front to back reboot is all they need.

You may not be interpreting the LED correctly. The Link LED goes on to indicate a physical connection (if the Link LED is out, the cable is damaged or disconnected), but the 10/100 LED only illuminates when there’s a 100Mbps connection. The LED will remain off when the connection is only 10Mbps. Here’s how to quickly determine the speed of your connection. If the 10/100LED is off, there’s a slow connection. If the LED is on, there’s a fast connection.

A fast (100Mbps) network connection requires that both ends of the connection support 100Mbps communication. So, if the 10/100 LED on your hub is dark, chances are that your PC’s network adapter (or NIC [network interface card]) is only operating in the 10Mbps mode. Check the NIC in your Device Manager Network Adapter entry and look for any 10/100 designation. An older 10Mbps NIC may need to be upgraded for 100Mbps operation. If it’s a 10/100 NIC, refer to the PC’s documentation and check the NIC settings to make sure it’s not locked in the 10Mbps mode. Set the NIC to a mixed or 10/100 mode so that it can adapt automatically to establish the best possible connection.

D-Link DIR-100 Internet OK, LAN not working


Well , first : my english is poor. i will try to help you.
i also buy this router dir-100 and have the same problem. solve is this:
1. newest firmware (my is 1.12)
2. set up MTU on lower values {default is 1492 and I set my in 1480} and evrithing WORKS GREATS !!!!
