Are all the wires attached to the board secure?

  • Robert Dec 04, 2012

There is a dead short somehwere in the low voltage circuit, try this, remove the T-stat wires from the board and reattach them one terminal at a time to see which one blow the fuse. Shorts can be time consuming to find, but we will find it.

  • Damian Soliz Dec 04, 2012

Yes I have made sure that all wires are secure to board, I have also done that and the board with nothing connected to it blows fuse board is new...board dead shorts out when it shouldnt be grounded out seen online in manul where transfomer according to carrier should be a 50va not a 40va which i have been replacing it with which was original i pulled out of it could that be causing the problem?...

  • Robert Dec 04, 2012

Yes this could be causing the problem. A 40 va cannot handle the load requiremets and therfore blows the fuse.

How to solve the issue when fautly grounding point casuing ADSL ports failed of ADLE board.

1- Service boards found normal, only the ADSL ports are appearing as Failed and found on almost all ADLE boards of the Huawei MA5616.2- Control Board found normal and there is no communication lost alarm between control board and service board.3- There are chances of some exceptional surge from outside coming through MDF towards system causing Huawei ADSL ports failure. Initially we reset the chipset of board to restore the services and move to step 4.4- We check the grounding point of system and MDF, it was not working and test result is as mentioned in snapshoot. The device was installed in switch room, we check the grounding values of MDF and switch room it was not according to standard and resistance values were too high. We also check the grounding point of other room (Transmission Room) in same building where SDH system was installed, its value was 1.31 ohm which is normal. On investigating we found that the grounding supply of MDF and switch room is different from transmission room and grounding supply of MDF and switch room was actually not working. We connect the grounding cable of MDF and switch room to transmission room's grouding plate and issue resolved after that.
Root Cause
1- Service Board faulty.2- Control Board faulty.3- Exceptional surge from outside lines.4- Grounding / Earthing point faulty.
Suggestions
For such kind of issues specially for Huawei Access Network, must check the grounding of the equipment and MDF. The equipment and MDF should be properly grounded and tested regularly the resistance value of grounding must be in the range around 1 to 5 Ohm.

Which way do the connectors go on the control board?

Hello Verlaine;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.
Please let me help you.
You received the new control board in a silver anti-magnet bag. Hopefully, you have not removed the control board without grounding yourself first. You ground your self by rubbing your hands over something that is steel. Static electricity will kill the board.
The connectors on a control board are proof. Each connector is designed to fit a specific plugin.
After you have located the control board, refrigerator unplugged,
Usually, a 10" x 8" cover plate on the back of your refrigerator.
Ok, you have removed the control board cover plate. You will see the control board is mounted on white pins. On these pins are 2 legs protruding. With one hand squeeze the first pin, Pushing the pin legs in. With the other hand pull the control board forward toward you. Go around the board until the board is free.
Systematically, with the new board, take one connector off the old board and put it one the new board. Repeat this until all of the connector are on the new board. Push the new board on the white pins to secure.
Why do you think your problem is a control board? Send me the model number of your refrigerator and tell me what the issue is.
The manufacturer recommends a surge protector. All appliances like you computer with control boards should have a surge protector. You can get individual wall socket surge protector at Lowes or Home Depot for about $15.00.

Hello, Often times the clarity of the "C" terminal is faint in the instructions. The "C" terminal should be naturally grounded from the transformer. So yes make sure it is grounded. Double check that the "C" is constant from furnace to thermostat to outdoor unit.

Also make sure the furnace is properly grounded.

Holle back if needed.

The monitor led is green but it gives white flash and still blank

Check the volatage regulator in the mainboard resolder all you found dried unsolder parts inside mainboard. Voltage test the regulator IC if have a voltage flow 2.5 to 5v DC. check ribbon cable connector from mainboard to controller board if properly connected. In the controller board find the small fuse test it for open.
Reminder:
When you voltage test in the power board
in the primary section of power supply
use hot ground. Do not use the hot ground
when you voltage testing the secondary
power supply, mainboard and controller
because it will cause of damage
semiconductor. For safety use cold ground
for secondary, mainboard and controller
board.

Whirlpool dryer will not start, replaced the electronic control board, still nothing. When we plug the dryer in the control board gets hot.

Sounds like you have a dead short to ground. Check the power cable & look for any rubbed through insulation & make sure the ground is still attached to it's post.

Service Code F84:

These codes may be triggered by either excessive heat within the oven or poor grounding of either the temp sensor or the controller (DPU) board. Check the following:
a) Clogged air filter (not applicable to OCS models)
b) Obstruction of the exhaust duct or insufficient ventilation
c) Defective thermal sensor (should read 30 – 70 kohm in room temperature)
d) Grounding of the thermal sensor (possible oxidation)
e) Poor connection (oxidation) at CN4 connector (PRO-1 models only)
f) Poor or no ground at the controller (DPU) board – ensure that all screws securing the board are in place
g) Missing screw(s) that secure the escutcheon to the frame (OCS models only)
h) If all steps above check OK, the error(s) may be caused by defective controller (DPU) board

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
