From the closed position lift the lid of the washer about 2'' and listen for a distinct click. Then set lid back down and should hear another click just before it closes. The wire form hinge on left side of lid actuates the lid switch. Is it broken? Let me know.

My 2005 nissan altima won't crank or turnover. It justs makes this clicking noise. Can you help me?

The click is most likely the starter solenoid you hear

Should be a familiar sound you've heard may times
on other cars

I would guess you know how old the battery is?

If it is original,it is 8 years old & dead,if so, replace it

If it is only 3 years old ,check the voltage with a meter

Next the solenoid could be working as you hear it,but
it's contacts are burnt,it can be replaced

You remove the starter & change the solenoid

Don't want to do that, buy the entire starter at auto parts,
not a dealer, cost too much to even be there for any reason.

88 samiri makes noise from transfer case going down rood

SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOUR GEAR OIL IS LOW OR YOU HAVE THE WRONG TYPE OF GEAR OIL INSTALLED IN THE CASE, BEST TO GET IT DRAINED , FILLED WITH ATF+4 (BEST YOU CAN GET) & CHECK AGAIN, IF NOISE IS STILL PRESENT IT COULD BE THAT YOU HAVE SHEARED PLANETARY GEARS IN THE TRANSFER BOX OR IT MIGHT BE SOMETHING SIMPLER SUCH AS EXTERNAL UNIVERSAL JOINTS (UJ'S) ARE WAY ON THEIR WAY OUT, IF STILL NOISY AFTER OIL CHANGE THEN GET IT OFF THE VEHICLE & HAVE IT CHECKED OVER BY A SPECIALIST OR PICK UP A SECOND HAND UNIT FROM A BREAKERS BUT I WARN YOU IT WON'T BE CHEAP AS THERE IS A BIB MARKET FOR THESE ONCE "HAIR DRESSERS" CARS AS WHEN DONE RIGHT THERE IS NOT MUCH THAT CAN BEAT THEM OFF ROAD - I KNOW - I HAVE THREE IN SEVERAL STATES OF DIS-REPAIR & WOULDN'T PART WITH THEM FOR LOVE NOR MONEY!!!, BEST OF LUCK

1980 Suzuki Gs450L won't start. I stalled out pretty bad in 4th gear and it won't start back up after. Bike won't even crank over, just makes a clicking noise. Any ideas?

pull the plugs then crank motor you may find one cylinder full of gas and that will keep it from cranking, if it cranks without the plugs allow it to dry for a bit , make sure plugs are dry then install and hopefully GO!

Whirlpool washer WTW5510VQO will fill, spin and drian but won't agitate, just makes a clicking noise.

If this is just clicking then the agitator bearings stuck or something is jamming it.

What is the float switch

I have no real experience with float switches on dishwashers, but have with some in humidifiers. It's a piece of styrofoam on a narrow metal stick that lifts when the appliance fills with water & lowers when the water empties. If this gets stuck on something, like a dishwasher rack, the unit won't fill or empty the water & the cycles won't work properly. Take a look & see if there is such a thing hung up somewhere in the dishwasher. If you can loosen it, your dishwasher should work again.
