I have changed da rear tyre frm 100/80/17 to 120/80/17 zapper vyde.but it is givin da problem as the rear tyre touches the upper portion of da mudgaurd right under the toolbox in the jump situation.i want 2 increase the height of da shocker so as to avoid this prblm,bt da technicians told me dat it is nt possible 2 increase da height of da shocker as it is auto-adjustable.plz reccomend da appropiate solution...
Solution is really to change back to the tyre the bike was fitted with orioginally. All apsects of the chassis are setupfor the originally fitted tyre, and going wider will not produce better grip, more so lesser handling as the rim is designed for the 100/80/17. You would need to weld new mount points for the shockers toraise the back end to solve the probem. I know this is not what you are wanting to hear, but is the best option for you

You have increased the width of the tire only 5mm on the sides, all you need to do is to trim the mud guard down just enough to clear the tire and still work as a mud guard. if you were to install a longer shock you would change the geomerty of the machine making it harder to sit (higher) on and ride in the leaned over position seat no longer flat but leaning down hill to forks
No worry just increase the hieght rear shock it possible i changed back tyre with 140/80/17................ it is possible... just meet one good mechanic.

Do you normally fit 195/70 15 tyres? The tyres would fit, BUT the 195/65 R15 tyre is actually smaller than the 195/70 R15 tyres. The rolling surface, the area with the tread marks on, is shorter on the 65 size tyres. This will make your speedo read at the wrong speed and might affect the handling.
This is what the numbers mean. 195 = width of the tread across the tyre in mm. 65 = height of the side wall as a percentage of the tread width, (65% of 195mm). 15 = diameter of the wheel rim in inches.
If the stud pattern and off set is the same they will fit on. The problem is that regulation requires the ride height to be maintained which means that you will have to fit a lower profile tyre . For example if you use 15 " 205/95-r15 tyres then you may have to go to 205/65 r16 tyres . Talk with a tyre shop and discuss the legal requirements as far as insurance goes with a wheel size change
dirty transmission fluid is common to cause a shutter like this. when was transmission fluid changed last! I would recommend doing this first. if the shutter still remains, you may have to flush it twice. if its a sputtering sound it could be plugs, wires, etc. good-day !
The tyre size is governed by the rim width and the space available in the wishbone. I would measure the space available for the tyres width right up inside the wishbone along with the tyre size that you have at present. The tyre can be oversized but watch out for slipping on the rim of the wheel! Consult a Yamaha Workshop for specialist tyre sizes and compounds. Pirelli make some super sticky tyres alowing for excellent high speed cornering!
You are governed by safety. The hub width will determine the maximum width and type of tyre as will the width of the rear suspension/wishbone. Consult a qualified tyre fitter for accurate sizes. Don't forget your speedometer will no longer be accurate!
check with the certificate of homoglonation for the correct tyre size ,have a feeling it has ocersize tyres on this vehicle which it wasnt designed for
It’s overall length is 1070mm, overall width is 670mm and its wheels base is 1290mm. Since sporty YZF R15 is shorter too and its height is just 1070mm. YZF R15 150cc features F 80/90 -17 inches tyres in the front and 100/80-17 inches tyres in the rear
