these set have a known problem with some blown capacitors in the power supply from the syptoms you describe this could be the issue. i know of no reset command that would help

I cant find the solution to reset my lamp hours, I replaced it, unplugged the tv like i was supposed to to. Its not reset. I have a 73" 1080p ...wd 73831 series

call Mitsubishi, 18003322119. They seem to know this is a ubiquitous problem with these sets, and seem willing to cover parts (all new electrical chasis), but not labor. Have to have an authorized repair tech look, verify problem, fax info to Mitsubishi, then will send in chassis for rebuilt one. Cost from what I've seen runs $300-400 in labor. Stinks you have to pay any, since Mitsubishi used bad capacitors in making the T.V. in the first place.
