It sound that the main power regulator board to your plasma display is faulty. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Click this link. View it in "Timeslide" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. There are more than 1100 posts to different brand TVs now. Pull up older posts there.

I am very sorry to say this but,looks like your TV is dead for ever.
Plasma TV's have a glass tube inside them that fires the pictures onto the screen. The tube in your TV must have reached its EoL (End of Life) and hence,would have shattered.(That should explain the shattering glass)
Before you throw out your TV though,try to get it checked by a professional technician. But if you bought your TV around 10 years ago,you will be better off buying a new TV.

This may be the PDP 503PU. There are supposed to be two parts to the unit; you appear to have the Display but not the media receiver and the standard accessories for the receiver.

The media receiver has the inputs for coaxial cable and component video. The gray and white cables are the system cables which feed the signal from the receiver to the display. Most of the on-line sources that I deal with do not have the system cables in stock.

This unit should go to an E-waste recycling agency, IMO. Without the receiver and the system cables, it's useless. I wish that I had better news for you.

Power supply failure-checked Pioneer's website, there is a recall on the power supply.

Very possible,but yet,this might be the manufacturer defect power supply which they will fix it for you free;but before we jump to this conclusion,you need to test it first:
-Unplug the power cords.
-Unplug the media video cable from the box to the tv.
-Check all the pins on the video cable are in place as well as the connectors both behind the TV and the media box.
-Reconnect the media box and TV with the video cable(DVI+VGA in one) and have at least a video component hook up to it(ex. dvd player/VCR or comcast box) be sure this video player is turn on and running,at the same time,be sure it is under the right video input.
If you have tried the above steps but still doesn't work,call 1-800-pioneer Tuesday-Thursday at7amPST and address your issue to them.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND I CALLED PIONEER AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE A POWER SUPPLY, PIONEER IS FIXING SOME MODELS WITH THE DEFECTIVE POWER SUPPLIES FOR FREE LOOK ON THEIR WEBSITE
