SOURCE: it will not turn on
Try to unplug it for a minute, plug it again and see if the green light blinks for about 2 minutes. After that you will probably be able to turn it on. But the blinking light tells you that is time to replace the lamp.

Hi, I'm not a service expert. I too own a WD-62528 DLP TV with exactly the same problem. Manufacture date Nov. 2005.
I have found in another forum (CNET) that this is a very well known problem. And that Mitsubishi (MDEA) is not taking responsibility for it. A group of people tried to make a Class Lawsuit but it was rejected. Also other people found that this TV actually does not display 1080i resolution, that is a separate problem from the lamp issue.
If you are able to solve this problem with the TV (blinking lights requesting a new lamp all the time and TV turning off by itself), please let me know. If you want a link to the other forum, let me know and I will send the link.
Also, please don't be discouraged from trying to find a solution. Keep trying.
