SOURCE: how do I replace the refigerator light switch on a

There are two light switches in this unit. The frist thing you need to do is unplug the unit. then you need to kind of pry the switches out on an angle. Don't do anything until you get the new switches. Look at the switches and compare them to your switches. you will beable to see which way the switches come out.

Where is the sensor eye and sensor light on garage opener

The only 2 sensors are located inside on each side of the garage door. Their purpose is to sense if there is a movement while the garage closes so it can interrupt the garage closing. That's in case you close the garage and someone walks in/out. Also some sensors also act as a "light switch". What I mean is that when the garage is open for a while, and you walk in the garage passing those sensors, it will turn the light on which is located on the motor.

My Kenmore side by side refrigerator does not cool what do i to fix the problem

See if the fan is running inside. If not replace the evaporator fan. Check the lint/dust buildup under the ref. Clean if necessary. Also see if you ca find the defrost timer on it. (should be in the refrigerator side.)

Try to turn the little dial on it with a screwdriver and see if it comes out of the defrost cycle. if it does, it is a bad timer.

Is the coil freezing up in the freezer compartment? This could be caused by a bad timer or the defrost heater/terminator is bad..This will also cause the refigerator side not to cool.

Also, check and make sure the light turns off in the fridge side when the door is closed.Check by depressing the switch located somewhere close to where the door touches it.

if the compressor is running and not freezing, you may have a refrigerant leak. If not, then if the defrost timer is working, the door switch is good and fan runs, you may have a bad compressor.

Refrigerator and freezer not getting cold

Clean out the coils on the bottom, make sure the fan motr is turning below and remove the relay from the compressor. A lot of these relays are failing lately. If the relay sounds like a slt shaker inside it is toat. if it makes no sound at all it is bad. You should beable to feel the sliding start switch inside.

Interior level indicator and interior lights not working on Whirlpool GD5RHAXNB00 Refrigerator.

The failed part on my unit was 2252189, the electric control board. This board is located on the left side of the refrigerator in the back next to the compressor. Its inside a plastic box on the side. That number has changed to a number WHIW10135090 and cost $84 from www.apdepot.com

A previous post listed a part number 2303805 as being the problem. That part number was the replacement number for the control board that is located in the control box inside the refrigerator. That part is NO LONGER AVAILABLE. It has been replaced by part 2255233 which is the entire control box. cost for that part is $161.00 from AP Depot. I purchased this part first and it was found to NOT be the problem.

I would suggest that anyone who has this problem start with the less expensive part 2252189 and them see if you need to spend more.

My unit worked fine with exception the the refigerator side interior lights and the digital display. Compressor and temperatures were fine. Just an FYI on my problem specifics.
