SOURCE: No heat when drying clothes. Where is the fuses on a dryer

Hi,
There are two thermal fuses, but if the fuse has gone - there will be another fault Replacing them without sorting the fault will only lead to them going again.

Fuses will blow if -

  1. The fan motor stops working
  2. The vents are blocked
  3. The heating element overheats
  4. There is an electrical fault
These need checking first.

The fuses are usually clipped into a metal frame over the heater coil - which is on the top of the drum.
Disconnect the machine and remove the top cover to see them.
Look for a picture of replacements online so you know what to look for.

Make sure that the vents are cleaned to include outside. Where it hook on to the dryer make sure that the housing is cleaned also. That should take care of the problem. Thankyou and if you need more help let us know.

I was drying my clothes and the steam feature would not turn off. How do I turn off the steam feature ?

Hi friend, thanks for your post!

I understand that the steam feature on your Electrolux dryer is not turning off. I would recommend a reset and you can do that by disconnecting power to your dryer for ten minutes. I hope this helps. -Matt

Electrolux gas dryer snagging clothes

Good Morning Friend,

I understand your Electrolux gas dryer, model# EIGD55HIW, is snagging and tearing your clothes. There is a possibility that the temperature is too high and you are overdrying your clothes. Make sure to dry your clothes on the correct temperatures and correct times. The other possibility is, the finish inside of your dryer has been scratched or chipped. This can cause a snagging or tearing of clothes. To prevent further scratching and chipping of the drum finish, make sure to always remove any foreign objects from pockets before laundering, as well as make sure zippers and fasteners are not hitting the inside of the drum. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

On autodry clothes do not fully dry

Try it with the exhaust pipe disconnected for a load, if that makes a difference, you need to have your vent pipe cleaned. Check in your exhaust pipe in the machine, too.
