Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Your filter of the water inlet valve is accessible outside the machine; it is at the water entry point. Close your faucet & check this out; this gets clogged often.

Hope i am helpful...... Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.

SOURCE: Inlet blockage red light flashing

Try turning the machine on its side, undo the bottom and check that the polystyrene float (attached to a switch) is not somehow jammed. This float cuts off the water if the machine leaks internally, and produces the symptoms you describe. It's a really good machine so don't throw it away!!

If that still doesn't help then it might also be the motor brushes, which produce similar symptoms - if your machine starts to fill but then flashes and just drains again, it's almost certainly the brushes. This might be the case after you check the float problem.

SOURCE: miele W1712 washing machine drain fault

Just had the same problem, after Much patience and persistence I found the blockage at the y piece that joins the pump to the outlet hose air trap towards the top of the machine LHS with the top and cover off.

It was clogged solid therefore no back pressure on the top little ball valve (between the air trap and the outlet) therefore no seal therefore norain therefore a drain-fault that persists regardless of a cleaned pump filter.

If your sure the water way is clear, unplug the unit, plug it back in,
and see if the error is gone, if not, place the water lines into the tub and turn on the water to make sure water is coming into unit, if so the problem lies somewhere else.

Re-post if this didn't help, and say you did this but still have the error.
Good luck, hope it helps.

I bought an older 842 washing machine. It has been sitting for awhile so I cleaned out the filter. At first I did not get the plug back in and water ran out and the inlet fault light came on.

Sounds like either the small filter at the inlet solenoid valve or the solenoid valve itself. Either way you are going to have to get inside the machine to get to the inlet valve. If no water is coming through the soap draw then it can really only be at the valve OR the inlet to the soapdraw is blocked (again - need to take off the top to look) Make sure power is disconnected before you do. The flashing red light after 30 seconds or so is just letting you know that the drum has not reached certain water level in the appropriate amount of time.
Good luck

Does the top loader heavy duty machine have a filter and does it need to be cleaned regularly. If so, where is it located?

No filter to be cleaned in the machine. There are however small wire mesh filters in the screw on connectors that connects the water hoses to the machine at either the tap side or where it are connected to the machine inlets. Unscrew the hoses from the tap and machine inlets and check both hose ends if the wire filters are not to clog up over time resulting in slow water filling of the machine. Remove carefully and clean with a nylon brush. Replace again.

How do i get my filter out of my bush a127ldw washing machine got E03 error am working my way through your list but cant get filter out

Water inlet filters
On the tap part of your machine's water inlet
hose and at the ends of water inlet valves, there
are filters to prevent entrance of the dirt and
foreign materials in the water to the machine. If
the machine is unable to receive sufficient water
although your water tap is fully opened, these
filters should be cleaned.
x Remove the water inlet hose.
x Remove the filters found on the water inlet
valves by using a pincer and wash thoroughly
with a brush. (1)
x Clean the filters of the water inlet hoses
located on the tap side by removing manually
together with the seal. (2)
x After you clean the filters, you can fit them
the same way as you have removed them.

Pump filter
The pump filter system elongates the life of your
pump, which is used to drain the dirty water. It
prevents lint to enter the pump. Cleaning of your
pump filter in every 2-3 months is
recommended. To clean your pump filter:
x Open the kickplate's cover, by pulling the
handle. (2-A & 3-A)
x Before opening the filter cover, place a cup in
front of the filter cover to prevent flow of the
remaining water in the machine.
x Loosen the filter cover by rotating it counter
clockwise and drain the water. (4-A)
x Remove the foreign materials from the filter.
x Check for the rotation of the pump manually.
x After you have cleaned the pump, fit the filter
cover by rotating clockwise.
x Put the kickplate cover into place.
x Do not forget that if you do not fit in the filter
cover properly, it will leak water.

Where is the filter in washing machine

Start by turning off the hot and cold water faucets that are connected to your washing machine. This will stop water from running into your washer so you can disconnect your water inlets without flooding the house! To relieve any built-up water pressure, pull the knob out on your washer that starts the washing cycle for just a few seconds. Now it's time to unplug and disconnect your washing machine. First, unplug your washer from the electrical outlet. Next, use a pair of pliers to unscrew the hose fittings on the back of the washing machine. There will likely be some water left in the hoses, so you will want to have a hose or a bucket handy in order to catch and clean up any spillage. Now it's time to break out the water-resistant vacuum. Place the vacuum over each water inlet. As you turn on the vacuum, tap on the inlet a little with a plier in order to free any debris or sediment that may have lodged in it. Continue vacuuming until the inlet is clear, then repeat on the second water inlet. Now that you're done clearing out the filters, it's time to reconnect your washer. Using your pliers, reconnect the correct hose to its inlet and make sure to tighten them properly. Don't forget to double-check to see if there are any leaks. If you find any, re-tighten accordingly. After that, all you have to do is plug your washer back into the outlet and you're ready to go. You've successful cleaned out your washing machine filter!

How do i check the filter

The front filter is at the inlet point of the water hose and the drain filter at the outlet hose of the hose.
you can remove the hose and find the dirt collection prior to the drain pump/valve.
There is also the lint filter within the drum which must be cleaned often

The cold water inlet is slow to fill machine but the hot water inlet works fine

Hi just read your posting.Could you please supply the model of your hoover and tell me if it is a front or top loader. The fault on your machine is due to a faulty cold water valve or dirty inlet filter.Turn the cold tap off and remove the cold water hose from the tap end and check to see if the little filter at the end of the hose is blocked. If it is, clean it and put back the hose to the tap and try a wash cycle. Please reply with additional information and to tell me how you got on with the filter.

check the inlet where it joins onto the tap as mine has a fine filter and debris from the fresh water builds up. Simply remove the pipe from the tap and **** ,this should remove /dislodge any scale etc that could be causing the inlet light to come on. Make sure you spit out the water that comes back from the machine!
