Why is hot tub over-heating past max temperature?

Sounds like a problem with the thermostat.

I bought a FreeFlow hot tub from a friend. The pump just continually runs for 15-20 seconds then shuts off. The temperature also is not rising, I can't seem to get it to work properly no matter what I do....

Thanks for your question. A hot tub is one of those items I personally do not recommend purchasing used, unless from a reputable dealer that can provide some type of warranty or service contract. I only say this because it\'s possible for them to have many many problems indiscernible to the naked eye.As for your particular hot tub, are there any error codes on the topside display? when the tub shuts off does it trip the breaker as well? it sounds as though there may be a problem with the circulation pump or possibly one or both of the heat sensors. it could also be the heater itself is not functioning properly and this is causing the system to shut off. Unfortunately, without more information, or looking at the tub I cannot tell you which of these to troubleshoot first. The only other option I can think of is to call a service technician to inspect the tub,a service call runs about $60-$90 per hour, If you could give me the error code(s) readout from the topside we could establish a starting point, otherwise we\'re just flying blind & I don\'t want you to spend money replacing parts that still work. If you can post again with an error code I\'d be glad to go from there, I\'m sorry I couldn\'t help more...

How to I increase the temperature to 101 on the drreammaker spa fantasy model?

This may be a little late as you may have already found the answer. But most "Fantasy" spas have "Balboa" control system. They are either a heat control knob, or Up/Down arrows on the spa side control system.
If you have the know & it is all the way turned to max position, and still not hot enough, then you may well have a faulty "Temperature Sensor". Get a replacement from your local DreamMaker dealership. Easy to replace.

I have a century lasar spa motor 177803, I bought it to put into my small hot tub, what heater/controls are compatiable with this pump?

Hi,
If you are looking for a stand alone heater here are a few options:
Brett Aqualine HT-1
Therm Products 5.5kW
The above heaters only have Thermostat's for temperature control. They also include hi limit & pressure switches, those two are safety devices to prevent an over heat.
OR
A Hydro-Quip CS500 system, can plug into a regular outlet. It also comes with a time clock & air buttons to allow motor control.

Cannot get temperature buttons on hot tub to change

Hi,
Do the other buttons work? Is the control panel locked, some spas have a control panel lock to prevent kids from playing with the temperature. Are any of the buttons stuck in the de-pressed/down position? If neither the problem is likely in your topside control which means it will need to be replaced.

My hot tub doesn't heat up all the way even though it says it's ready

If a floating thermometer is more than 3-4 Degrees F off what the control panel display temperature then the temperature sensor has likely failed.

I've recently bought a Hoover 800F New wave and I don't know how to open the door...can you help me please?

turn the wash temperature control knob anticlockwise until you come to the key symbol at the end of the blue zone; then turn the knob a little further and the door will swing open; a special safety device prevents thedoor from opening during the wash or at the end of the spin cycle; at the end of the spin wait up to two minutes before opening the door - the instructions from the user's manual. good luck!

Pump is running ever 5 minutes. The heat in the

Sounds as if the 'mode' for the tub is set to sense the temperature of the water. see if there is a setting on the control box to a 'timed' setting for filtering and heating instead of controlled by the temperature setting. the problem is the the control box is away from the water and when it calls for heat it is because the water is cooler there than in the hot tub. so when it calls for heat and the water starts to circulate it gets the hot water from the body of the hot tub and then shut down because it senses the 'hot water'. make sense?
