Question about Whirlpool WTW6600SW Top Load

Whirlpool Cabrio wtw6600sw2 top load washer is dumping water

It is not that the drain is clogged, it would push all the water back if this is the case. It is not the inlet or outlet hoses leaking.

Could you please describe the problem you are having a little better?

I did a little more troubleshooting and tear down. The water looks like it is leaking through the shaft between the tub and the rotor. It is being slung from around the bottom of the rotor on the bottom. After taking the rotor and other parts off, there is water around the outside of the bottom of the shaft.

I haven't taken the casing of the washer apart yet, was hoping there was a way to take the tub apart without taking if all apart, but apparently the hinges are for decoration, since it looks like the top is screwed to the body of the washer anyway.

SOURCE: cabrio drains water onto floor.

I took the back cover off of the machine and found that the drain pump had a hole in it. The hole was caused by a coin that had made it's way down to the drain pump. The replacement pump cost $90.00 and was very easy to put in. If you google the words cabrio tear down you will come across a web site that has a video that shows you how to take the pump out. I have not had any leaks since. Keep the coins out of the washer, remeber to check your pockets to avoid paying out cash.

What causes Cabrio washer to get unbalanced in spin cycle?

Try making sure that your draining hose isnt jammed all the way down the hole. When you installed it the u shaped accessory was needed for the draining hose. Try pulling the draining hose out...curve the front and zip tying it to your cold water valve. This will allow it to drain properly and not get water push back into the drum causing it to be unlevel

Won't do anything

This is another possible solution, more than likely most people will expierience clogs. I had the same problem today, upon removing the drain pump I noticed one of the dark blue wires was off of the connector that plugs into the pump, seems these are held in place by a "splice connector", and is a simple fix, after you unplug it from the drain pump take the connector and pull from the front and rear to open the splice jaws, re insert the wire and push back together. Plug it back into the pump, and that's it!
