You will need to make a 110v power cord with spades to fit the valve.

SOURCE: Cold water good for a few minutes then slows to a trickle. Shut off for a few hours and cold water good again for a few minutes. Inlets are clear. Is this normal behaviour for a dying valve?

Yes, it will fail soon. it is beat to go ahead a order a new inlet valve assembly asap. the pressure sensors that are housed in the valve assembly are failing.

SOURCE: Washing machine water inlet valve needs

Try this;

1) Unplug the washer. turn off the water. remove the fill hoses.

2) remove the 2 Phillips screws in the front on either side that retain the console. On some machines, these are hidden under console end caps that must be pried off. On newer models, they’re on the back of the console and you only need to back them out about halfway. On most of the latest models there are no screws, rather there are two clips that you release by inserting a putty knife under the console from the front. apply slight force forward on clips and they'll release as you pull up on consoile lightly.

3) lift the console forward to unhook it from the cabinet top, then up and away from you. it will hang back out of the way if the washer’s away from the wall far enough. unplug the lid switch plug, it'll be the one with 3 wires, usually white, brown and green. then use a large screwdriver to pry up the 2 large clips that hold the cabinet to the washer back panel.
open the tub lid, grab the cabinet and gently pull forward and it’ll unhook from the retainers on the base. Lift the cabinet off and set it aside, you'll need lot's of room, but it is easy to work on.

4) if you now look to the right of the tub at the back wall while facing the unit you'll have access to the valve.

*NOTE, To put the cabinet back on, open the cabinet lid again, now looking down through the lid opening, hook the cabinet front under the washer frame while keeping the cabinet tilted slightly towards you.
Rest your foot at the cabinet base to hold it in place, as you tip it back down onto the base. make sure the 2 notches at the back on the bottom(frame) line up with the notched holes in the cabinet bottom.

Snap the 2 big cabinet clips back into place, If one side’s gapped, it means one of the notched holes is mis aligned. remove the clip on that side, tilt toward you slightly, and push the side down into place. Then re-install the clip.

plug the lid switch in, re-attach the console. and Bob's your uncle.

you should be back in business.

hope that helps,

good luck

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=110.23032101&pathTaken=partSearch

and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Also see the Whirlpool / Kenmore Service Manual for these washers.

The most likely culprits are the Water Level or Water Temperature switches.

The Service Manual has procedures for testing each of them.

No cold water Running into Machine

Try checking for debris clogging the inlet of the washer. Shut off the supply water, then start the machine to do a warm wash (to relieve any water pressure in the hoses) for a few seconds - then shut off. Unplug from power and move the machine so that you can have good access to it and then mark and disconnect the hoses. Some machines have screen filters on the hose inlets. Check and clear out any obstructions you may find. It's not unusual to find sand, metal / rust chips, etc as can result from being pumped up from a well or an opened fire hydrant on the street due to a fire or the town simply flushing lines.

Before reconnecting the hoses - place and hold the ends into the tub (if possible) and turn the water on slowly to make sure that water comes out of both. This ensures that there is water flow all the way up to the machine inlets. You'll have to clear or replace any parts (hoses, screen, etc.) as needed to get water flowing.

If still not working - the issue can be a simple hot / cold water solenoid valve replacement ($) to something more involved ($$$). Check out the video to get an idea as to how to check out the valve (it's very similar to all machines).

Good luck!

F20 error code

copied from the net..............

The "F20" fault code is indicating NO WATER IS BEING DETECTED ENTERING THE WASHER OR THE PRESSURE SWITCH IS NOT TRIPPING OR SENSING A TRIP.

If there is no water in the unit:

Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way and water enters.

Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves.

Verify inlet valve operation.

If there is water in the unit:

Verify drain pump operation.

Verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and properly connected to tub and pressure switch.

Verify there is not a siphon problem.

Press STOP twice to clear the display. The machine will drain for 3 minutes before unlocking the door.

Unplug washer or disconnect power.

Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves, pressure switch, drain pump and Central Control Unit (CCU).

Check all hoses for possible leaks.

Plug in washer or reconnect power

Verify pressure switch operation.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your washer if water will entering the machine and not siphon out.

cheers

Maytag se1000 Series 01

this will be a timer fault most likely. if you can test for voltage at the valves while the machine should be filling you can tell if the timer is sending power to the valves.

Meile Novotronic W 828 Washing machine half way through the cycle it stopped and the screen shows a message saying "check the inlet"

It means what it says! i.e. water is not getting into the machine, the inlet hose or path is blocked or the inlet valve has failed. You need to turn off power and water and check it is getting water through inlet hose and that the inlet filter is clear, the filter can be seen on the valve when you remove the hose. You will need to open the machine to check the inlet valve and tubing. Hope that helps please vote

My washing machine is showing IE, meaning no water inlet. What do I do, no water is coming into the washer?

If you set the water temperature to "warm" (turns on both hot and cold water) do you get water? If so this will cut your troubleshooting work in half (if you only get hot water, you can focus on the cold water plumbing).

Check the water supply valve for the washing machine to see if somebody turned it off. If you are in a northern state and the plumbing is in an exterior wall, check to make sure the pipes aren't frozen (it happens to me when the temperature drops below -15° F).

The surest test of water supply is to turn off the supply valve, disconnect the hoses from the washer, put them in a bucket and turn the supply valve on again. If you get full flow from both hoses, check the inlet screens on the washing machine's hose fittings to make sure they aren't clogged with lime or or sediment. If they are clear, you'll need to check for voltage on the water inlet solenoid valves. Full line voltage on the valve coil terminals but no water indicates the valve is stuck shut or burned out. No voltage when the machine is supposed to be filling indicates a controller problem.

It keeps stopping flashing LF,I don't have the manual, what does LF mean?

Hello there:
LF Long Fill If the water fill time exceeds ten minutes, the water valves are turned off and LF is flashed.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display. furthermore please check the following that may apply
It's slow to fill Check to see if there's good water volume coming through the hoses attached to the washing machine. If there is, check to see if the screens inside the water-inlet valve are clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If they're clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you should completely replace the valve. There's no water at all If there's no water at all, make these checks: Is there water getting to the machine? Is the water-volume selector switch set properly and are the control panel buttons pressed in all the way?
Is there a faint buzzing or humming noise coming from the water-inlet valve? (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If you can't hear anything, the water-inlet valve may not be getting any power. If you can hear some noise and there's water present, you may need to completely replace the water-inlet

Ie is shown and it does not work.

IE = Inlet Error. Check that the valves the hoses are hooked up to are turned on and that the hoses are not kinked. If that was OK, then turn valves off and remove from back of machine. Look in the hole where the hoses came off the machine to see if the inlet screens are plugged. If clear, make sure water flows out the hoses now if you run the water into a bucket. (if not, frozen water line or similar problem) If all that checks out, the only thing left is bad water valve coils or no power to machine water valves, which would be a wiring or control board issue.

The most likely cause of your problem is plugged up inlet screens where the hoses connect to the machine.

Washing machine clogged with dirt

You probably have sediment clogged in the inlet hoses and/or screens in the water inlet valve of the washer. First, turn off your water taps in the back of the washer. Disconnect the hoses one at a time and insert them in the wash tub. Turn the water taps back on to see if you are getting water through the lines. If not, you will need to remove the hoses and flush them out. If the hoses appear fine, inspect the sediment screens on your water inlet valve (this is where the hoses connect to). You can use cotton swabs to remove most sediment. If you cannot get the screens to clear and/or if sediment has gotten inside the water inlet valve, you will probably have to replace it. Try flushing the lines and cleaning the sediment screens, first, though. I hope this helps you.

Water Pressure - FH Error

Check first the filters on the inlet water line. Then, if problem still exist - check that the inlet water valve works(it is an electromagnet valve, located at the pipe's entrance to the machine)). If it doesn't work, test that it get power. In case it get power and doesn't work - You can easily open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from machine before doing it !!!! Check as well for valve's coil resistance. In case you have no resistance measurement - you should replace it for a new one. Good luck
