Plazma TV I have a Samsung 42" Plazma Mod# HP-R4252. Powers up for about 15 minutes. Then shuts down. Only get the red light. My technician says it's probably in the Power Supply. Any info you have or referrals will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mindy

Re: Plazma TV

There are several shutdown circuits on this unit. The X main or Y main are the usual suspects. Call 1-800-Samsung for a qualified servicer in your area.

Samsung HP-R4252 42 in. HDTV screen black outs and red lines

Hi: We had this problem under warranty, and tech installed the following to solve it: Parts BN96-02033A, BN96-02034A and BN96-02216A. This solved the problem for 2 years. I now have the upper half going black now and then for 2 to 3 seconds. I am ordering these parts from and will just plug them in. Better than a new tv.

Vertical lines across my entire screen

My 42" Samsung Plasma HDTV HP-R4252 has a 2" vertical strip of green pixels down the right side of the screen.

My 3 year warranty with Circuit City expires in Nov 2008.. so I hope I'm covered.. can't call until the morning.

Samsung said it might be a logic board problem.. but they want almost $2000 to fix. I might as well buy another TV if Circuit City can't fix it.

Samsung hpr4252x perfect picture in

You have a burn in problem from watching widescreen movies. If you have access to a signal generator or tv setup disc run a perfectly white screen on the plasma for about 30 min. This should help even out the pixels on the display.

Verticle lines on screen

This is a very easy fix. Your cable box is not grounded correctly. To fix this you need a AC Plug adapter. This will change your TV ac plug from a 3 wire to a 2 wire. This may sound funny, but trust me on this. I have fix a lot of TV in NY doing just this.24001fc.jpg
