Why is the steering making a moaning sound on 1991 volkswagen westfalia ?

Groaning in the column itself could be the column bearings, or perhaps the horn contacts, although they make more of a scraping sound. A little lube sprayed between the steering wheel and column may help that. If you're referring to noise in the steering itself, sometimes the front upper control arm bushings groan when they're worn out. Or power steering fluid loss due to leakage from rotted power steering lines under the van. Trying to address all that I can think of, but your question is rather vague.

Could be a lot of things but most probably a shorted high voltage diode assembly. If not that then the magaetron or capactors. Remember be careful there are high voltages even when the oven is unpluged. The capactors are usually charged and must be discharged. Good luck

Groaning noise

Check the wheel bearings, or have them checked, immediately. This is the most likely cause of the groaning sound you are hearing, and if left uncorrected, it can cause serious problems, possibly leading to further mechanical damage to the car, or even an accident.

LG Washing Machine makes a groaning sound.

Its most propably bearings on the drum, normally the seal in front of the bearings is leaking ,allowing water into the bearings, which destructs them..
It is bigger job to take the drum apart but do'able with basic tools.
If possible, source the seal and bearings beforehand.

Another factor can be overloading, try lightening the loads first..

Fridge Freezer makes 'groaning' noises

Sounds like it could be the icemaker . If the icemaker heater is bad , (replace icemaker ) , then it will groan while trying to dump the ice .You can try turning the icemaker off for a day and see if that stops the noise .

If the groaning sound has a light ticking sound as well,it may be a c.v. joint. These are the'swivel' joints on the front axles.Completely unrelated is that it may be the power steering pump that has a low oil level in it.(it might be the partner saying'Groooan,Not the car shop again:) Hope this assists you

96 Grand Am Groaning

Sounds like the power steering pump failing. If it seems to be worse when you turn the wheel at a stop, it is time for a new p/s pump.
