Question about Casio FX-300MS Calculator

The letters DEG have been on my display for about 2 years. I have tried pressing every key combination to no avail. Would love to get rid of them.

You have a key, the label of which is the degree sign, the apostrophe
and the double quotation mark. It is located between the change sign
key (-) and the [HYP] key.

To enter an angle with degrees, minutes and seconds you use the key to separate between numbers

Ex: 18 deg 0' 45" you press 18 [Deg ' "] 0 [Deg ' "]45 [Deg ' "] [=] As you type the calculator displays 18 deg 0 deg 45 deg but the result will show correctly. You have to press the key after the seconds figure, otherwise you get a syntax error.

While the foregoing result is still in answer memory, if you press the [Deg ' "] key the result will be displayed in decimal degrees.

The key is used to enter the DMS values and also to toggle between DMS and D.D.

Hello,

You use the key combination [SHIFT][ANS] (DRG>).

**If the default angle unit is degree**

Type in the angle value in radian, say 1.2.

Press [SHIFT][ANS] (DRG>).

The screen displays 1: deg symbol, 2: a raised r for radian, and 3; a raised g (for grad).

1.2 [SHIFT][ANS] (DRG>) [2: raised r] .

The screen displays 1.2 with a raised r to the right of the 2.

Press [=].

The answer is 68.75493542

Hello,

1.Set the correct angle unit required by your problem: degrees, radians, or grads. [SHIFT][MODE] [3:deg] or [4:Rad]

2. Press the key for the function COS, SIN, or TAN

[COS] displays Cos(

3.Enter the angle 12 deg Screen shows cos(12

Close the right parenthesis ) Screen shows cos(12)

4.Press [=] Screen displays 0.9781

If you want the inverse trigonometric functions you access them with arccos [SHIFT] [COS] (cos^-1)

arcsin [SHIFT][SIN] (sin^-1)

actan [SHIFT][TAN] (tan^-1)

You have to know the**principal domain** for the inverse trigonometric functions (see any book on trigonometry) to understand the results.

Hello,

In [RUN], screen press [OPTN][F6:->][F5:ANGL] [EXE].

Exemple 18.53 deg
