I bought a Kenmore 30012 Quick Clean Vacuum on 7/5/2011 it was working fine till just recently. Its not picking up anything off my rug, I've cleaned the filters, the belt is fine. It was blowing dust...

A clogged inlet. Something is likely clogging the opening where the dirt goes in. Paper, cellophane, or anything else light enough to get sucked in but too large to pass through.

How to replace the belt on bissell healthy home vacumn

I think this is a terrible answer.. but after researching everywhere on how to change the belt, most answers were to look up the owners manual. So I looked it up online. this is all it has on changing the belt:
"Belt maintenance
The brush belt is designed to last the useful life of the cleaner when used according to all
instructions in the user guide under normal household conditions. If you feel that it needs to
be checked or replaced, call BISSELL Consumer Services or visit the website to locate an authorized service center. Do not attempt to disassemble the vacuum foot to change the belt."

Frustrating! Good luck!

Will not compress much air and sounds like a vacumn cleaner

sounds like a broken inlet valve, you need to remove the cylinder head and replace the valve plate and gaskets, pay attention to how the plate is installed.

How do I put an new belt on this vacumn cleaner?

Surprising though it may seem, that will depend on what make and model of vacuum cleaner you've got. Instructions will be in your user manual (if you no longer have the manual you can usually download a copy from the maker's website).

Odd noise coming from central vacumn cleaner

The rattling noise, will likely increase when the head is flipped upside down. Generally means you have a stone caught in the belt or a blown or stripped tooth on the belt.
If you gently squeeze the outside edges of the light housing it will pop off to reveal two screws to remove the lid. Check for other screws at the neck of the power head. Once removed your belt and brush will be visible. Remove the brush roll with end caps and flip the belt inside out rolling it between your finger , look for cracks or a floppy or missing tooth. Replace if any sign of wear.
Inspect the dust caps on your brush. There is a washer under each, likely buried in lint. Do not lose as these are a spacers for each end of the brush. Clean shaft and lube with WD40. Spray caps with the same. vacuum loose grit and dust bunnies away from motor and reinstall, your red button must align with the lid when replacing

I Need to change the belt on hooverwhirlwind

there should be 4 screws on the bottomsome have little flat snap that secure the bottom cover on.push the snaps toward the outside of the base and the cover should come off.if they are screws just remove the screws and take off the bottom plate.then you will be at the belt and roller.be sure to clean the old rubber off the motor shaft before you put the new belt on.otherwise the new belt won't last long
