Re: woofer problem

If I am not mistaking here, you need a self powered subwoofer to use with this unit. Those are line driven outputs for this unit. Make sure there is a wall plug on the sub that is plugged in. Good Luck

Pioneer audio/video receiver damaged

The problem is probably that the bad connection "took out" a couple of the power transistors/power mods in the amplifier

If you need a pro to fix it I can suggest someone depending on where you live

My dad has a Denon Al24 processing receiver. We have had the receiver about three years. The problems I have found so far are that the sub channel coming out of the receiver has continual hum that is...

First check to see if the sub woofer itself is not defective.
There are components in the various associated circuits that are failing. I realize the receiver and sub woofer are not old, but this is very possible.
You will have to determine which of the units is defective, then you can call the manufacture to find out who their authorized service rep is.
From experience, I have seen electrolytic capacitors of various types cause these types of faults. The service work is time consuming, but can be achieved. The labor cost for the time involved to troubleshoot the unit will be more expensive than the parts themselves.

My klipsch subwoofer won't play on my pioneer receiver.

You do not mention if this is a Pioneer VSX type receiver or if it is a Stereo receiver. Assuming the first, you need to enable the Sub-out output. The Owners manual will show you how. Then you should connect from the Sub-out using a good quality RCA type sub specific if possible cable to your Klipsch Sub. Play with all the levels until you are satisfied. It will take some time to set up properly.
Good luck.

Pioneer VSX-516-S/K amplifier - loss of sound in speakers

This sounds like the amp has a system memory problem. The chips inside your amp that deal with it might be faulty or they loose the information due to a power loss, often caused by memory retention capacitors.
You can tell that to the repair man and see what he says, but personal I would go to another, try contacting Pioneer for a recommended engineer in your area.

Hooking up a Klipsch

Need to confirm that you have a subwoofer cable which is a coax cable. I have seen this sort of issue when using a standard RCA cable. If you need a cable you can order it at

Good luck..

How do i connect non passive woofer

This receiver can only take a self powered subwoofer I'm afraid. You could get a power amp and power the sub like that but in the long run I really think you would be happyer to get a new subwoofer. Good Luck
