Use code search to find something that can handle some or all functions of your TruTech TV. If a search through all codes stored in the remote fails, you may have to try a different universal remote. All universal remotes do not contain all possible codes.
Are you using the VGA port on the Jensen TV? What is your computer's OS?
The usual reason for the unsupported mode message is that the the computer did not recognize the TV as a monitor on boot up or that the previous settings were incompatible with the TV. (For example, if you previously had a CRT connected to the computer and used a refresh rate of 75 Hz, the TV can't handle the refresh rate. It needs to be set at 60 Hz.)
First turn off both the TV and the computer. Then turn on the TV and set it for the PC input (assuming you are using the VGA port). Next turn on the computer. If you have Windows XP or later, it should find the TV and set the resolution without any input. (If it doesn't, use a different monitor and set the resolution to 1366 x 768 and 60 Hz. Then try again.) If you used the HDMI port, try the VGA port. This TV doesn't understand a computer signal over the HDMI port (only set top boxes).
Any of the universal remotes should work. Check their sites on line first to see if they have codes for your TV. I recommend a Logitech Harmony remote that is "activity based" and can control all your electronics with a single remote.
If you get an universal remote, you won't have all functions to control the TV. Moreover, the codes for many audiovox model are often not reported on universal remote manuals , therefore you may need to use autodetect feature on universal remote.
The best choice is buying a replacement original remote like the ones below:
