Motherboard Sound card problems k8v-mx

I've produced the link for the download, but firstly remove the audio driver and reboot before trying to reinstall the drivers. Make sure you have very little applications running in the background before trying this.

No sound

Reinstall the sound drivers from the install CD that came with your computer. If not avail., go to ASUS website, drill down to drivers/downloads for your machine, download/install latest sound driver software and reboot.
If this helps, please take the time to rate my response to you.

Thank you, and good luck.

Computer crashed and recovered but no sound after

Computers have a mind of their own at times. Here's what happened to me a few years back: I had the same kind of problem and finally figured out that windows automatically configured my system differently because there was a problem. The way I solved it was to put the sound card into a different slot and reboot. That may or may not help you further, but to know that your PC probably automatically changed its configuration might help you to solve it.

Hiii, to download the driver for your ASUS motherboard, please visit this website i.e. http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us Here, you just specify your requirement or scan your pc for driver as a new user. You can find your latest sound driver here. After downloading the driver you just install it one by one and after single installation please reboot your computer.

I have just built my first desktop PC using an ASUS M2N32-SLI Delux Wireless Edition Motherboard. Unfortunately the Motherboard came without the support CD containing drivers etc. I do have the user guide...

1. Do I in fact need the support CD?

You dont need the support cd, although you might have to update your drivers for your sound card, network card, or wireless card (IF they dont work) from the asus website http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=M2N32-SLI%20Deluxe

2. Can I go straight to installing the operating system and bybass the support CD?

Yes you can. Go into the BIOS and change the boot option to boot from cd first and this will boot from your windows vista cd.

3. Is this system compatible with this Motherboard?

Yes it is compatible with your motherboard.
