Question about Televison & Video
I got my TV in 2009. All of sudden, couple of weeks back A horizontal band showed up covering about 1/3rd of the screen from below. The band was slowly getting darker and opaque. Then the picture under the band started to flicker with the lines. (the rest of the screen seems ok). I removed all the input sources (no video signals from anywhere)...Even then I see the problem (on that grainy screen). Also, I tried to pressed/touched all the sides to see it has some loose connection, but Even that did not work. Can you help with the issue LCD connectors? LCD panel? Capacitors? I am upset with my samsung choice.
The T-Con board is causing your picture problems.

Press the menu on the TV and let me know if the menu is effected. If the Menu if effected , you can try unplugging the power cord for a minute and replugging it back. If the issue still persists , a physical diagnostic is necessary to determine the exact defective part on your device. It could be a problem of main board or even worse, the panel.
