Unplug, remove battery, leave battery out, plug in . repeat system restore. What is the error? Perhaps a system recovery?

System restore did not complete successfully. Your computer files and settings were not changed. System restore failed to extract the original copy of the directory from the restore point. Source: %System Root %\Registration. Destination: ComPlus Staging. I tried taking the battary out and running System Restore and this is the error message.

Obviously your restore is corrupt. Do you have repair disk? I don't know your OS? I suppost a last resort is a full system reload. This forum may help :http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...

SOURCE: laptop keyboard not working

Random keys or a row of keys not working indicates that the keyboard is failing and needs replacing. Before replacing, you might try taking the keyboard off and cleaning the connection. A little dirt or corrosion built up might cause this, but most likely the keyboard has malfunctioned.

SOURCE: Error message eNM Tray stopped working

actually this is normally because of spyware and adware installed in system or some infection due to virus the OS is corrupt , u cant repair it except u have to restore ur system thru backup disc or the procedure below is recommended

Acer: When you first turn on the laptop and see the Acer logo screen, hold the ALT key and press the F10 key (you need to do this before the Acer logo disappears).

ur system will be restored to factory default state and ur all problems will be gone pls first backup ur data in case it is wiped off by the restore process

it is good to keep ur system updated thru widows update and latest drivers and utils thru acer support

ftp://ftp.support.acer-euro.com/notebook/aspire_5610/

pls rate me fixya if i have fixed ur problem

SOURCE: My HP Pavilion dv6000's sound system is not

This is a common problem, the cable that connects the button board to the system board goes bad. Usually but not always the power button stops working as well and the speakers. Replacement cables can be purchased on eBay or from: www.2fix.net. Its fairly easy to replace the cables.

Hp compaq laptop how to restore to factory default?

Go to Start/All Programs/HP Tools/HP PC System Recovery

If this doesn't work then try pressing the F10 key multiple times during the bootup to access the recovery console.

If this still doesn't get things fixed then you need to re-install XP

Hey, my HP webcam stopped working a few days ago and I've not been able to get it to work on any chat sites since then. I go to select it and it isn't there, almost as if it isn't installed. Help please?

  1. If you can, unplug the webcam and plug it back in. If not, restart your computer and try accessing your webcam again.
  2. If this doesn't work, you will need to uninstall your webcam drivers/software, and then reinstall the drivers/software.

On statr up I get a dialogue box that reads system32/cmd.exe/startnet.exe and it jus keeps repeating this

system 32 contains a number of the system files that Windows needs to use in order to be able to run. right click on the drive in which you have installed windows and try doing a disk clean up and an auto matically fix filesystem errors and scan and attempt recovery of bad sectors.if this doesn't work try restoring the system to an earlier restore point.this should solve the issue in 90% cases

The sound on my HP notebook just stopped. The

1st open your volume control and make sure it is not muted as this is a common error. If not then check the device manager and make sure there are not errors on you audio device. Try updating or reinstalling the drivers for you particular model which can be downloded from HP's site.
If all else fails try a system restore and go back to the day you know for sure that your sound was working properly.

Keyboard on hp dv7-1130us stopped working

This sounds alot like a virus i once had!
try a system restore to the point before these problems occured. if that doesnt work run a full virus scan. If that doesnt fix the problem you may have to wipe the hard drive completly.

Usb ports not working

hi,

What device are you trying to connect? was there an error message when you plug in the usb device. try booting up your computer to safe mode with networking.

1. Restart the computer
2. Keep on tapping F8 when you have the HP logo screen, using the down/up arrow of the keyboard choose safe mode with networking. if the device still not working then it could be a problem with the USB driver. You may try restoring your computer back to the working time using system restore. Just go to start then Accessories - System tools- system restore.Restore your computer to a working date.

Keep me posted.

Thanks.
