Ifixit.com has wonderful guides. You'll have to take apart the entire case to get to them. Parts should be relatively cheap too, since the machine is so old.

Usually a problem with what is called the video up board, there was a firmware snag going to OSX from 9 but that was long ago.

A normal PC power cord fits your iMac. The kind of three connectors to the wall and three connectors to the iMac.

Wont startup.flashing ?
Hi. The Flashing ? means that the mac cannot find a valid start-up drive. Sometimes this can mean a failed Hard-drive but more commonly it is a sign of directory corruption.
It's quite possible with an iMac of this age that you could have a failed Hard-drive. However, if you can locate a copy of DiskWarrior you can fix a corrupt directory.

Hi Krystine. If your imac has firewire ports then look on ebay for an Apple iSight Camera.If you haven't got Firewire - and even if you have. it's wqorth looking here http://agent.liquiddigital.com.au/

This is a USB version of the Apple iSight in all but name.
I've seen it working and can vouch for its quality.
