SOURCE: homelite backpacker blower # uto08083 not running

fist thing is run both the carb screws all the way in then back them off 1 1/4 turn this will be your starting point then start the blower to fine tune the carb if it starts then your carb was off giving it to much or to less fuel

Engine runs on choke but dies without?Special tool to adjust hi /lo carb settings?

Your main jet in carburetor is fouled and needs to be cleaned out. The choke circuit bypasses it but when you remove the choke the gas is supposed to go into engine via the main. If clogged, the engine will quit for lack of fuel.

Either clean the carb and jet or replace carb. And yes, newer carbs have basically non a adjustable jets which is ridiculous since each engine is unique and has to be properly matched to new carb. Way around this is by either buying the special tool (he-- with them) or using a dremel tool to cut into head of adjuster a slot so that you can use a regular flat blade screw driver to adjust.

Homelike chainsaw carb settings high/low

Hi, most chainsaws start with carb settings at 1&1/4 turns out( hi+lo) usually once the chainsaw has been run in, the 'hi' screw can be turned in an eighth, tickover set low enough not to cut out but high enough not to engage the clutch, cheers Billy

CRANK ROPE IS IN A BIND OR STUCK

Hi, if you remove the recoil housing you have a good chance of freeing the rope if it's bound. Try pulling the rope to see where it's tangled and use a screw driver to pry it loose. Good luck.

How do I identify the exhaust outlet on my homelite backpacker - I believe i need to clean it

look for black /burnt looking/smelling of oil there will be some form of guard covering it , usually 2 screws holding it on ( allen or torx ) , when removed take it outside and carefully pour petrol into it and very carefully set it alight to burn out any carbon /oil deposits

Mighty lite 26b leaf blower will not go full throttle, seems to bog down under full throttle, cant get a tool in the hi and lo adjustments

many current production models have carburetors that have limiter caps on the adjustments (if there are any) and the symptoms sound like fuel starvation or 'lean' condition.

carburetor gaskets/diaphragms should be replaced, and carb body cleaned with carb cleaner while apart
