First use a vacuum to **** out any dust from any of the air vents.

DO NOT CLEAN YOUR KEYBOARD WITH THE VACUUM. it can **** the keys right off your keyboard and even if you recover them, it is a big deal to even get one back on and functional.


Now use compressed air for the keyboard and any vent areas.

Now, the battery pack is usually a source of heat, since it is on the bottom, be very sure you are not smothering it on a soft fabric. Your bed, A couch, your lap. keep it on a hard surface free of stacks of paper and debrie.

If that does not work, pick up a small cheap fan and blow it into the top of the bottom section of your laptop. That should dispel the hot spots.

My suggestion is to remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard and plug it back in. This is NOT the laptop battery that you plug the power cord into.
Other than this, the software on the site I posted the link to can be burned onto a CD and then booted from on startup, these will either give you the password or take off the password completely for you.

The only other way is to have a friend with a compatible laptop that uses that same battery and charge your batter on his system. Why can you not charge?

This is a good article that explains how to do it. Your going to need an s-video cable that splits into the red/white/yellow colors then hook those cable up to the TV and then make sure your TV is set to the proper input so you can get a picture. Article is courtesy of Geek with Laptop.
