SOURCE: audio driver for windows 7 ultimate

Your Driver might be incompatible or incorrect driver. Check carefully, if you install it incorrectly, your PC could be at risk.

Since Windows 7 is a new operating System. Most Manufactures don't have the drivers of it. Talk to your Computer Adminstrator or contact one.

Windows 7 has recently released, so it's not recommend to upgrade it. You can rollback to Vista or XP with the System Restore if you wish.

You can also contact or email Microsoft for more info.

SOURCE: No headphone sound, but internal speaker works fine.

Hello,

Hello,

It is because that your internal speaker is the default play back device other than your head phone or external speaker.

Need to go to your sound setting.

Depend on your operating system, click Start, then click Control panel, then click Hardware and Sound, click Sound.

Under Playback tab, select your external speaker or head phones as default device.

Try driver download from her http://www.startech.com/Cards-Adapters/USB-3.0/Cards/2-Port-PCI-SuperSpeed-USB-3-Adapter-Card-with-SATA-Power~PCIUSB3S22

Although I dont understand your statement " will not read a card reader" since you state a problem with the Syba Infozone cable.
Is the problen your USB 3 port or the Syba cable.

I dont have sound in my pc.i dont know where to fix my problem

If you sue external speakers or headphones, follow these instructions. If you have a notebook computer & are using the onboard speakers, skip to the *Windows section below.

You can start by checking your speakers, if any. Make sure they are powered on and functional. You may also want to test there speakers on a different computer just to make sure.

If the speakers work on a different computer but YOURS still does not have sound, try a known-working set of headphones. Make sure the jack is seated correctly as it may be loose.

*Windows:
Check the volume controls on in Windows. If windows does not have any volume controls, then chances are, the sound drivers are not installed. Check your computer manual to find out what model it is, then visit the manufacturer's website to download the appropriate drivers and software for the sound card.

Note that if you have used external speakers or headphones anytime before this issue started, you may have to re-plug the device & unplug it again & allow Windows to detect that it's unplugged (for HD-capable audio devices in Windows Vista or 7).

If you do have HD audio in Windows Vista or 7, right-click on the volume control in the notification tray on the bottom-right corner of your screen and select "Playback devices"...

... then make sure you choose the appropriate output device (whatever it is that you actually use: Speakers, headphones, HDTV output, etc).

HI I HAVE A DELL VOSTRO A860 AND I JUST INSTALLED WINDOWS 7 EVERYTHING IS WORKING FINE EXCEPT THE SOUND IVE DOWNLOADED VISTA DRIVERS REALTEK AND CONEXTEANT DRIVERS BUT I CANT SEEM TO GET THE SOUND TO WORK...

If you hear the sound on the headphones then the drivers installed correctly and the defect is either hardware - the jack for the headphones is stuck so the internal speakers are no longer activated when you unplug the headphones = the jack will have to be replaced by a shop - or software - you will have to go into the Realtek HD Control Panel and configure the audio outputs correctly = enable or unmute the internal speakers.
The Panel icon can be found in the notification area or in Start > Control Panel.

After installing windows 7 my headphone didn't work but my normal speakers from my laptop works. i have my Neo Qnote

OK, if your headphones worked fine with your laptop before you installed Windows 7, then the headphones and the laptop are both working correctly. I believe that your problem can be corrected by changing some of the audio settings in Windows 7. This may be accomplished by doing the following:

1. Go to Start, then Control Panel, then Sound.

2. Click on the Playback Tab if it is not already selected.

3. You should see a list of various audio devices that Windows 7 can use to playback music with; like speakers, SPDIF out (digital out), and so on.

4. Look in the list for something that says "Headphones" or "Headset," then click on that device to select it.

5. Click on the "Set Default" button to "Set Default Device."

6. Once the default is set, this should tell Windows 7 that you want to listen to music and sounds with your headphones, and not your speakers.

7. You can also do the same thing if you want to go back to listening with your speakers. Simply follow this procedure, and set "Speakers," or whatever is closest to that, as your Default Device.

I do hope that this works for you. If it does not, then the next thing that I would do is to try re-installing the driver for the laptop's soundcard, then re-booting your laptop. This should work if selecting the default device in Windows 7 does not. Sometimes the driver gets corrupted ("broken"), and needs to be re-installed.

Please feel free to comment on my solution, and rate me as to how I helped you. Thank you and good luck!

Windows 7 and Dell BH200 Bluetooth Headphones

You have to set bluetooth as default audio device. For doing this, go to >Contro Panel> Sound and Audio Devices>Audio(Tab) and in Default Device choose bluetooth device.
In my case, I had problem when i installed SP3 on XP. I changed my bluetooth driver to "Toshiba Bluetooth Stack V6.00.10" and it worked for me.
