Question about Computers & Internet
LG flatron L204WS monitor goes straight back into analogue power saving mode after computer wake up from sleep
This type of problem is usually caused by a failure of the filter capacitors on the power supply board. The LG L204ws uses the AIP-0156 power supply which is the same board used in many of the LG monitors that were sold around the same time. Here is a link to a repair guide for the LG L226wtq model that used that board. The repair guide as pictures and videos showing how to open the unit and check the filter caps. There are parts lists showing what needs to be replaced too.
I hope this helps,

Yeah, im not sure about how to fix the problem with it shutting down like that, but one option is to go under your control panel and taking off the sleep function, or putting it on a 4 hour timer so that doesnt go into sleep mode anymore. However, the problem is not your monitor but your computer. Id just take the sleep mode off, there is no need to have it on.

Check the video cable, replace them, and if didnt work, try to reset the config stored on the settings of the monitor (usually by menu).

Maybe you can update your video card driver. My wife notebook is connected at times to my DELL17" flat screen and ever so often it cuts off in the middle of something. I update the video driver and reset the monitor to factory settings and it's working like a dream.
I suggest, you use the menu buttons on the LCD and reset it ot factory settings, and possibly update your video card.
