SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I have to get hooked to the internet to get my channel changed about every 48 hours. i have used every channel at least once. but, my signal strength is always excellent.

On your desktop PC, connected to the router via an Ethernet cable, open your internet browser (Internet Explorer?) and type in into the address field.
That will open the router's configuration page for you.

Click Login, Submit {should not related to your problem but if you have left the default password as blank, don't; set one of your own up a.s.a.p.)

On the left hand panel under the "Wireless" section;

should be an entry for "Channel"; if this is set to Auto, leave it as it means the router can change channels automatically.
If not, it should allow you to select Channel numbers 1 - 13 inclusive; choose one.

there should also be a field called "Protected Mode"; set that to "On".

hope this will help

Cannot play cd from Mexico

Two words: Wrong Format. Most American made products use 60Hz frequency to operate normally. An imported product not designed nor intended for use in the US works on 50Hz frequency. You will need to download and install software to convert from what is known as "PAL" technology to what we use called "NTSC" technology. I am not sure where to download this from so you may have to do a little research on your end.

Thanks for asking FixYa for help. My name is Jeff and I will be assisting you today. You didn't specify your operating system, but I presume that this is a new computer and you are using Windows 7.

Unfortunately, the option to change languages is only available on certain editions of
Windows 7 like Ultimate and Enterprise. You can see if the option is available by clicking: START>CONTROL PANEL>CLOCK LANGUAGE REGION

Do you see an option for "Change Display Language"? In spanish it would be something like "Cambiar Idioma de la Pantalla"? If so, you are in luck and can change it there.

Probably, you do NOT have the option. In that case you can buy the english version of Windows and install it. Sorry. That's how Microsoft is.

If you are in need of additional help, please let us know.

Thank you for allowing us to help you today. And please remember to vote. 4 thumbs up please. Don't kill the messenger.

Internet explorer message:

You're confused and I'm confused. It's terminology and some missing information. First are you using an ICQ type chat application or are you using a full blown call center chat application.....if the former your problem is relatively simple. If the latter (based on how good the help dialogue is) it run from easy to hard. Need the name of the application to be able to give you a path to follow to fix it. Tango

Seeing Red!

Open Control Panel and select "Display". Check on the "settings" tab what colour settings you have on for your monitor. Try putting this up to the highest quality and see if you get a change. try the others if not. Do you have your windows XP fully updated to Service Pack 2 and all the latest auxiliary updates? If not, do that (go to windows update from control panel). Are you using microsoft internet explorer as your browser? if so, and especially if the problem is a recent one, update internet explorer (latest version is 7.0.5730.11). to check this, open IE and select the help menu, select "about Internet Explorer" and it will tell you the version you are running. If none of the above helps, then open IE and select the tools menu, and select "internet options". Select the "advanced" tab. Check that "enable visual styles on buttons and controls in webpages" is on. check the section "multimedia" write down what you currently have (in case you need to change back), then change them all to on. Restart your computer after trying each thing. Hope this helps, please ask again if no joy
