SOURCE: LG LDF6810 Dishwasher Starts filling with water then pumps water

Because you are not getting an error message, I agree that the controller card is malfunctioning. Almost everthing else would triger an error.
Recommend replacing the controller card.

SOURCE: dishwasher not spraying/pumping water in wash cycle

If your dishwasher is filling, draining and the heating element is working then the wash pump motor has probably failed.

You have not provided the manufacturer and model number, so I have no way of knowing if your dishwasher has a separate drain and wash pump motor.

SOURCE: dishwasher won't fill with water

Hi, Make sure the wires didn't come off of the inlet valve. Make sure the waterlevel float located in the front corner, is able to move up and down. Make sure the water source valve wasn't shut off.
Just a few thing to look for to try and narrow this down

sounds like it could be a defective cylinoid switch...this will not allow water to flow properly through the machine....this is located at the water connection....try replacing and reconnect water...good luck

Dishwasher spray arms

either the dishwasher is in "flood mode" and will fill then empty straight away- in this instance check for leaks in the base. or the wash motor is u/s and not pumping the water into the spray arms. poss jammed or seized, either way it will need a strip out.

Electrolux professional series not pumping water

Two things to consider....clean water or dirty water?

Clean water usually indicates the fill valve is not shutting off all the way and the fill valve is "weeping" water in all the time = new fill valve time!!

Dirty water usually is not a dishwasher problem but more of a plumbing issue. Often the sink drain that carries the sinks water outside is not fast enough and some of this sink water is backing up into the drain hose and filling up the dishwasher through the drain hose. The drain from the sink to outside needs attention as this type of a problem indicates a slow house drain for that sink.

The dishwasher drain line should be clamped to the top underneath part of the counter before entering the sink drain plumbing, this may help the water from coming back inside the dishwasher.

My dishwasher is not filling w water

check filter or drain hose it probably have a dirt, try to fill with water manually and turn on pump to dispossess water,if water not go out and pump work then you have dirt in hose or filter,if pump not work then pump is broken.

Washer does not fill with water

The problem is most likely that your drain valve is defective. If this happens, the water will pump out instead of circulating. There may also be something stuck in the drain valve causing it to stay open.

If you need more help, post a comment.

Thanks,

Tim

Ran without water will not fill now

Try unplugging the machine for 30 minutes then plugging it back in. I am worried that the pump is bad due to the fact that it needs water to add resistance to work properly and without water the pump spins so free the it burns itself out. But first try unplugging the dishwasher first

Not filling up

Have you checked there is no water in the base of the machine (there is probably a float with a microswitch there).

If there is any water at all in the base the float rises and triggers the microswitch turning on the drain pump. Does the drain pump run even with the door open?

You could try tilting the dishwasher 45 degrees and see if any water comes out

Response to suggestion.

I was talking about the water inlet line going to the fill valve. The fill valve is located on the right hand side with the bottom panel removed. From the fill valve there is a water inlet line running into the SIDE of the dishwasher tub, NOT the pump in the back. The two pumps on the dishwasher are used for the cycling of wash water and/or draining the tub. Neither pump are used for the FILL cycle. Having an inlet line under the kitchen sink would make things easier. CLR would probably do the trick, but I'm afraid that gravity is going to keep you from accomplishing what you need to do.

Whirlpool built in dishwasher. not aware of model number

Putting vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher is not going to help because it has nothing to do with the FILL cycle. The bottom (or sump) actually is used during the WASH and DRAIN cycles. I would check the fill port where the water inlet hose goes into the side of the wash tub. You will need to pull the unit out and locate the inlet hose on the SIDE of the dishwasher. The hose should be a black rubber hose located on the left-hand side of the machine. I had a very similar problem that turned out to be calcium deposits clogging the fill port BEFORE it got to the fill valve. With the unit turned off, I removed the rubber hose and used a small screwdriver to poke straight down into the fill port and break up a bunch of calcium. The unit worked fine after that. It is normal for some dishwasher models to drain if they do not detect enough fill water, or if they detect a leak. Usually when the fill port becomes restricted or clogged you will find puddles of water forming under the dishwasher. You might want to remove the bottom panel and check for leaks as well (if you haven't done so already). If you check the fill port and it is clear, the fill valve could be a possibility as well. However, you mentioned you could hear water running which leads me to believe that you have a simple clog somewhere...but, the valve could have accumulated some deposits as well. Check the fill hose and let me know. Good luck and I hope this helps you. PS Another common mistake people make is to put drain cleaner in their dishwashers. This can damage the pump and chopper assembly. Not to mention, it could be harsh on the some of the rubber seals. Not a good idea.
