On most laptops the RAM (memory module) is located on the bottom of the laptop behind a small panel. Remove this panel to access the RAM slots.

Memory upgrade 2gb 4gb

The CF29 comes in two basic flavors:
#1: With 256MB RAM and DDR Ram with One open slot.
So add a 1GB DDR RAM (PC-2700) DDR 333 and
the maximum RAM is now 1.2GB

#2: With 512MB RAM and DDR2 Ram with One open slot.
So add a 1GB DDR2 RAM (PC2-5300) and the
maximum RAM is now 1.5GB.

This is my experience and very frustrating to find out the
hard way that the CF29 does not support a 2GB DDR2
RAM Module.

Good Luck.

No image on monitor, only beeps four times

Four beeps means Faulty RAM.
1. If u know how to open and set RAM, then open ur RAM by simply opening the RAM cover on the backside of ur laptop, there wil be 2 screw, u have to open it first, then just remove RAM by pressing both side locks.
2. After removing the RAM, clean it with news paper aur any clean cloth.
3. Place the RAM again to its slot. (remember the cut mark of slot, don't try to place hardly)
4. After placing RAM, tight screws and then start the laptop again.
5. If the beeps are coming again then change the RAM. (If it is in warranty u can replace)

Not enough ram memory

normaly RAMs in notebooks are located at the bottom of the that they can be changes easily....u need to open a lid at the bottom to access it....may be a diagram of the notebook (downlaod from the net) can help u...
be careful to remove the RAMs...the holder that hold the RAMs are very flimsy and frazile...that can break with heavy force...remember that are attached to the body of the notebook....they cant be replaced(i mean the holder/hooks that hold the RAMs)

How can I build in more RAMs to my Compaq Armada 1598DT ?

Look at the bottom of the laptop.
With a screwdriver, open one of the "doors" that you see.
You may find an "empty" slot, where more RAM can be inserted.

However, finding RAM that will be "compatible" with your Compaq is not trivial -- if you don't understand "HOW" to do this, *STOP* and take your computer to a computer-store, and let them investigate, and sell you the correct RAM, and will install the RAM, and ensure that it works.

Want to install 1G ram internally

Open your Laptop/Desktop and look for existing RAM slot.

In the laptop it is usually underneath, so flip the laptop over and unscrew a location where it says RAM/Memory.

Desktop, open the case and it should be failry obvious where it is on the Motherboard.

If you have nver replaced RAM i would recommend getting some professional help.. i.e. making sure you buy the correct type of RAM in the first place.

I hope this helps, don't forget to rate my solution.
