Question about Daewoo DTQ-25S3FC 25" TV
I can hear the sound but no picture on screen...the first times this happen i try to shake the tv and apparently the picture appear on screen then disappeared after 10 min .... what is the possible broken component that i need to check for make my tv looks like is new? tha angelo ciao
Angelo, I've been in electronics more than 20 years and I still use the shake, rattle and roll method of testing. :) From what you've described you probably have a poor solder joint somewhere on the CRT board or in the vertical deflection. Turn it off, unplug it and leave it sit awhile. After a few hours you can remove the back and carefully inspect the CRT board. That's the little board you'll find plugged onto your picture tube. Be careful NOT to touch the printed circuits. But with your glasses on look at the solder connections on each of the components. If something looks like it has a tiny crack all the way around the solder connection remove the board and resolder that connection... if you find nothing there you can remove the main board and do the same in all the area around the IC's that have metal heat sinks attached to them... If you find something that looks suspicious carefully solder it up... With all that you should find the problem and if not button it up and take it to a repair shop. It isn't too expensive to have some poor solder joints repaired.. In our shop here it would be about a $60 dollar job plus tax. Hope this helps Bill
