Look on the back of the modulator to see what chanel is selected. Also when it is working right when you turn on th Wii a light on the modulator will come on. So make sure all the wires are hooked up right and the Wii, Tv and modulator are plugged in.

How to hook up ps2 to a emerson tv

Hi Bonnie, first, we need to know if your TV is compatible for the connections from the Playstation. The way to tell, is do you have the matching RCA inputs on the TV? These are the Yellow(Y) Red(R) and White(W) cords that come with all PS1's 2's and 3's. (Yes, all years and models are exactly the same) If your TV does NOT have the matching RCA inputs, don't worry! You can still hook it up to the TV, but it will require another piece of equipment. You will need to add a signal converter box(I will put in a link for it) What this does, is lets you plug the cords from the Playstation, into the box, then out too the place where you plug your cable or TV antenna. These boxes are also called RF Modulators. They are available at every local Walmart or Meijers respectively.I hope this helps. Good luck. ^^

My wii u stil wont work after being hooked to an rf modulator to an older tv

Hi Lisa can you provide some more information
What is the model number and make of the rf modulator?
what wii output did you use to go into the rf modulator ?
what frequency does the rf modulator output at ?
What model number and make is the television ?
What type of cable is being used from the rf modulator to the tv ?
Is it a video cable or a proper 75 ohm impedance coaxial cable
what is the impedance of the rf modulator output is it 75 omhs and what is the impedance of the tv is it 75 ohms or is it 300 ohms if it is 300 ohms on the television ( usually antenna is a ribbon cable screwed onto the back of the tv rather than a coaxial socket ) different you need a balun
http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=LT3022
I am recommending your first point of problem trouble shooting first is to check the impedance of your television compared to the impedance of the rf modulator and compared to the impedance of the cable used. IF they do not match then power is lost and the signal won't get to the TV.

Philips PH-61153 4x1 Automatic Video Selector and RF Modulatorhttp://www.amazon.com/Philips-PH-61153-Automatic-Selector-Modulator/dp/B000165AOY/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1310350845&sr=8-4

Plug both into this. Automatically switches to the one powered on. Connects up to 4 audio/video components to a TV or home theater system. Built-in RF modulator works with all TVs including TVs with only coax jack input. Works with composite cables, S-video cables, and coaxial cables. About $25 from Amazon.com

Hope this helps.

Tried connecting direct to both an LCD and older set using the coaxial lead straight from the console.Cannot get anything at all.Do I need an rf modulator or no.

Quite the opposite - The Atari 2600 sends a modulated RF signal over the cable, it needs to go to the ANTENNA port of the TV, and you need an adapter. On eBay, look for
ATARI 2600 RF TV SHIELDED CABLE + ADAPTER

I cant hook up the red, white, and yellow wires to my magnavox tv

If you mean that the TV doesn't have a set of composite video/audio jacks, then you need a converter for the inputs on the TV. (Most likely you need a video converter (RF modulator) that converts the game console composite video to RF (coax) and set the TV to channel 3 or 4 usually. RF modulators are available from stores like Radio Shack for $30.)

If you have a TV with a composite video input and can't get the game console to view, then there is a different problem. First try new cables. Switch your input as needed for both the TV and the game system. This will depend on the TV and if you have the original remote/unlocked front panel buttons on the TV or a substitute remote that maintains all of the features of the original remote. On some TVs you can cycle through to the A/V inputs by increasing (or decreasing) the channels until you are between channel 2 and the highest available channel. (This doesn't always work if the TV has been programmed to skip channels that previously had no signal.) Otherwise look for a Source or Input button on the remote or TV (or an OSD menu (sub menu) that lets you change the source).

I hope this helps.

Hi i have a sega megadrive 2 and have only just got it out, but now have a Bush digital TV and the Sega is on (power) but I can't either locate the channel or am confused on how it connects up to the Tv to...

I think those have the old style RF connectors.A coaxial cable with a grey or black box in the connection cable.Plug the coaxial cable from outside into the RF cable.Plug the RF cable into the TV coaxial input(regular cable input). On the back of the Sega, there should be a switch for CH3 or CH 4.Put the TV on the appropriate channel. If the signal looks bad, switch the selector on the Sega and change the TV channel. If you do not have the RF cable there is a place that still sells Sega accessories, but not Sega. They must have contracted with Sega.If you need the site let me know.
Good luck!

I have an older model tv connected to Direct TV that I want to connect my Wii system to, but I only see 1 input

If you're referring to you having just having a coaxial cable input in you will need to purchase an RF modulator. This takes the audio / video RCA jacks and converts the signal to pass through to a coaxial input.

What channel should the tv be set to?

Tv needs to be set to channel 3 or you need to change the input on the tv if you are using the rca jacks on the tv. The other way to hook it up is if you have an rf modulator. You can get the at walmart or radio shack for 20.00 dollars.

You need a coaxial cable with an RF modulator. Better yet, there are several ORIGINAL Atari 7800 RF consoles for sale on eBay for $4 to $5 a pop. Have fun!
