Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console

Do I need to update?

I got my children, both are under age 12, PSP slim. They just play games, music, and movies. When playing games they seem to take a long time to load and are not really loud when turned all the way up, even when using headphones (the ones that insert into the ear). The version of firmware is 3.71. My friend has the same PSP purchased at the same time and his seems to be alot louder and loads quicker playing the same games. The battery life only lasts 1 and a half hours. Is there something that I need to do to the setting? Firmware update? Any suggestions would be of help. Thank you for your time.

If you connect your PSP to the net either by wifi or via computer you can update. If you cannot get it on the net, you can download the update onto a card and install from there.

Also if you got under network there is a online instruction manual which will also help.

These updates are good but from what you are saying there seems to be alot that you would like to change on it. The ear phones do have a setting on the psp which can limit the volume check that under settings. The battery could be getting weak and you could replace. But get the psps online first and chech for updates.

If there is anything else feel free to send me a request

I WANT TO FINE THE WAY TO CONNECT THE CABLES FROM PSP TO TV.

First you're going to need a slim psp, if you have it then you just plug the cables to the right places. To play games on your tv you need a tv with progressive scan and component inputs.

Get your PSP fully charged, then go WiFi, and do a network update. Follow the instructions carefully. Update is under the tool menu and I think it is the top item.
