How to change the fast freeze flap on a hotpoint HUZ 1221

  1. Remove any food or items from the freezer compartment.
  2. Locate the fast freeze flap at the back of the freezer compartment. This is usually a small plastic or metal door that can be opened and closed.
  3. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws or clips that secure the fast freeze flap in place.
  4. Carefully lift the fast freeze flap off of its hinges and set it aside.
  5. Take the new fast freeze flap and place it in the same position as the old one, making sure the hinges are aligned properly.
  6. Secure the new fast freeze flap in place using the screws or clips that you removed earlier.
  7. Close the freezer compartment door and return any food or items to the freezer.

Why is my Defy F640 fast freeze light blinking orange

The blinking orange light on your Defy F640 freezer indicates a fault with the fast freeze function. There could be several reasons for this, including a malfunctioning temperature sensor or control board, a blocked or dirty air filter, or a problem with the refrigerant system.
To troubleshoot the issue, you can try the following:
  1. Check the air filter and clean or replace it if necessary.
  2. Make sure the freezer door is properly closed and sealed.
  3. Check the temperature sensor and control board for any signs of damage or malfunction.
  4. Verify that the refrigerant system is working correctly by checking for any leaks or issues with the compressor.
If you are unsure how to check these components or suspect a more serious issue, it may be best to contact a professional technician to diagnose and repair the problem.

Fridge is freezing everything

Check the top of the inside of the fridge. There is usually a flap door mechanism that sometimes falls off or sticks. This regulates the temp in the fridge.

One freezing rack not working! I hav efridge-freezer Bosh Classic Maxx and the top freezing rack does not working ? Everything else is o.k. but not that top rack.So can you help me ,please???? Thank you...

i dont really know this model, how many racks are in the top unit ?
if more than one rack , then i would say it sounds like incorrect coolant level in the freezer system , might have a small leak, and it would need the coolant level increasing .

Kenmore side by side - icemaker seems to run too fast because the ice cubes are often hollow and they stick together in large clumps. Everything else in the freezer is frozen solid, so I know the freezer...

IF FREEZER IS A THE CORRECT TEMP/ O-10 DEGREES, THE FREEZER IS NOT THE PROBLEM. THERE IS A THERMOSTAT IN YOUR ICE MAKER, IT IS NOT ADJUSTABLE. IT IS A SMALL BI METAL SWITCH THAT TRIGERS ICE MAKER WHEN IT REACHES ITS PROPER TEMP. THE PROBLEM IS, IT IS TRIGERING IT AT TO LOW OF A TEMP.NOT ALLOWING THE ICE TO FREEZE SOLID. IF YOU CAN HANDLE IT CHANGE BIMETAL SWITCH OR CHANGE ICE MAKER ITSELF.

Freezer and fridge areas both 50 degrees

Assuming you have a frost-free refigerator:
Is your motor-compressor running?
If so, check if you have ice in the freezer section; if so, maybe your defrost thermostat or heating element is kaput.
If the motor-compressor is not running, check in the back of the refrgerator if the defrost time is stuck open, bu turning clockwire the small test screw, with a 1/2inch screwdriver.
