Follow the steps in the quick start guide and it will install itself. If you don't have one. Plug everything in and let Windows see it. Likely will self install. If not you have to go to the Manufacturer's site and download the instructions.

Hi,

You can Download the drivers from http://broadband.motorola.com/consumers/support/default.asp?supportSection=CableModems

You need to download then to some other system and copy to a disk or pen drive and then install on your system.

Regards.

Install

If the modem is already registered to your ISP then you can plug the modem to your computer using an Ethernet cable (CAT5) to your computer's ethernet port and to the modem's port as well.

If you want to use the USB cable then you need to install the drivers for it. You may go to motorola website and type in the model number of your modem to get and download the drivers.

Though, I suggest that you use the Ethernet connection instead.

System can't Install the MODEM Drivers

You would need to install the USB drivers from the Motorola disk as windows does not have these USB drivers natively.

Installation

If your internet or cable light is blinking then you probably have a cabling issue. These modems are designed to be ran with an RG6 home-run line to the cable box outside. You cannot have any splitters in between.A home-run is a cable that runs to the service box on the outside without any splitters.
