Question about Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer

Washer won't drain and clothes stay soaked

After a complete wash cycle, the load stays completely soaked because the spin cycle won't engage as a part of the complete wash cycle. After we pull out the clothes and put them in the dryer, we have to manually rotate the drum in the washer to completely eliminate the standing water. The drain hose isn't pinched at all and there is no damage of any kind that I can see externally. What do you suggest?

I found out more info on this. The model number is LTF2940ES0 (Frigidaire). I just sat in front of it and selected the SPIN/DRAIN for a 13 minute time period. It didn't spin at all, but when I select the RINSE/SPIN setting on the dial, it spins while pumping in water. It seems that the high spin isn't working. There are no noises at all and I hear it drain but the high spin never engages. I can't hear a belt slipping and when I manually spin the drum, it feels unrestricted. The front display correctly displays what I set it to. I hope this is all you need on this. Thank you.

I just did an error code check and found that "Board thinks the door PTC circuit is open in spin" and then the test states "Remove the door lock assembly and measure the resistance of the PTC" and then it states that I have a defective control board and then to replace the control board. Is there a way to fix the door lock assembly? If not, how much does a control board cost?

My washer won't drain well either. I have to tip it backwards until most of the water is out. When or if the drum begins to spin, it drains better but it is getting progressively worse. I have to repeat the process a few times. It makes a LOUD noise and can take up to 3 hours to wash 1 load!

You need to clean your drain punp,if its is clean[which i think it wont be,and i have fixed thousands of washers]you need to do a voltage check at the pump.if its getting voltage and not draining replace pump.your washer can not go into high spin unless it pumps the water out.to get to the pump remove bottom panel, pump on the right.it has two hoses to it and to wires.it is white or tan in color.i hope this helps,God bless ,tom

Try to unplug unit and let it sit for 1 minute and plug it back in. See if this will reset the unit

2 things are possible. Can you tell if the spin cycle is engaging? If the spin cycle is not engaging properly or very fast, then the water will not leave the clothes. less likely is that the machine is not draining the water away properly or fast enough.

Hello, problem here is the spin control board is bad. Remove panel under the door and you can locate the spin control at the rear right of the machine screwed to the floor. Replace it and you will be all set. Mike

LG front load washer/ clothes still wet after final spin

The heavy jacket prevented the washer from spinning at a rapid pace, so I added a heavy bathrobe to absorb some of the water and to balance the load. The washer then spun very quickly and drained out all the water.

How can i fix my washer myself?

The washer will not ever completely drain according to Maytag. A certain amount of water stays in the outter tub for balancing the machine for final hyper-spin. However if the machine is not spinning all of the water out and your clothes come out sopping wet....read the long thread I typed out to another person earlier.....it's about 2-3 questions up on the same topic

GE Front Loading Washing Machine seems to be holding water....

The high speed spin of a front load washer should normally do a good job of getting squeezing out the water but if there is an oversudsing condition that makes it hard for the drain pump to operate then the suds and water will just stay there. First make sure there is no actual clog in the drain line then run a load with no soap or detergent and see what happens. It's always better to use a low suds detergent with this type of machine
